  4. i've got a genuine mocal thermo plate for sale. Never been used. Drop me a pm if you're interested.
  5. Sounds like a piece of nonsemse to me. You could do some real steathly mods that would make a car massively faster that they've never be able to tell. Would one of these inspectors know if you took a classic, dropped in a built 2.5 with a md321t, bigger injectors, newage topmount, bigger fuel pump and an ecutek remap?

  10. Good lad. Just be aware that the number of hobbies you can have is inversely proportional to the number of kids you have.
  11. Glad to hear you're pleased with the results Cal. I always feel a bit nervous before a mapping session, a bit like going to the dentist for a check up. You never know if it's going to be good or bad news. These cars do cost money to keep them on the road and a lot more if you want to buy little goodies for them here and there. The way to keep the costs down is through total denial of what you've spent on the car. I have a drawer full of receipts that meither I (nor the wife) will ever look at cause that way I can tell myself it's not cost that much. To be honest the trick about spending money on a car is to make sure that you get the benefit from it I'm not the least bothered about what I've spent because I have no intention if selling it and thats when you should look back and tally what it's cost you. As for a rolling road session, I'm ready for one of those myself. Might have to look into booking out Dastek for the afternoon if anyone else wants to chip in.
  12. Mibby. Need a new icv first and some decent weather would help convince me too.
  13. Fook me. I think you should cook Peter dinner for that favour.
  14. Ah, that explains it. Thank goodness I'm a size 11.
  15. Cal, you can get it done up to a month early and have them extend the new one as long as you take the old certificate wih you. A decat it IMHO the best power/cost mod you can do and will give you the best results for any future mods as well. It can be a PITA but no pain no gain etc.
  16. Nice looking car, you should have come over and said hello.
  17. Guilty as charged. You getting the treatment too?
  18. Can't remember everyone who was tlaking about it but the topic of small number plates came up at the Glasgow meeting on Thursday. Anyway, here's a link to what I was trying to expain http://www.craigsplates.co.uk/import-number-plates.html
  19. If you had a boost leak the car would overfuel like mad so I'd be looking for something like the wastegate being jammed open. The circlip can come off of the rod and leave you with no boost.
  20. At least he turned the porn off.
  21. 700 is a lot. Hope it all works out for you Peter. BTW, what will you be using the car for? Track or road?
  22. Talking of money, might have been cheaper just to by an of the shelf subaru part. This is going on the new legacy. Not quite the same league of turbo though.
  23. Kenny Brown in Hillington. Straight talk from a guy who knows his stuff.
  24. That car's white? I thought it was just a layer of dust. Steve's a top bloke alright. Thinking about getting him to fit a dump valve to my car.
