I'd be up for it, but am already racing that day and probably won't finish till 3 or 4 pm (it's an endurance race). If it wasn't part of the championship, I'd defo be up for kartstart. 1 - Renault 5 Gordini Turbo (lightened body version) 2 - Mini 1275 GT (also light weight body version). Started life as a 1275, but ended up as a 1.4 3 - Nova SR. Started off as a 1.3SR, but then the head gasket went so I dropped in a 2L twin cam 4 - Golf Gti Mk2 5 - Golf VR6 Mk3 6 - Sti Type 5 7 - R33 Skyline GTR V-spec (with a few engine tweeks ) - For sale at http://www.subaru.me.uk/gtr - price negotiable as I dumped it in high before TOTB but haven't updated the website since. 8 - P1 Dunno what to get next. Just waiting for Subaru to bring out a new 2 door that can challenge the P1 in looks and performance. Tend to keep my cars for a year or so each, but the Scoobies have slowed me down as they're hard to beat on the £/bhp ratio.

Used to be some good racing at Ingliston, not that long ago either. One of my mates from Uni raced a mini out there about 10 years back, and it was always good racing. Not sure why it stopped to be honest - was much more accesible than knockhill for us townies! Ran out of money for track maintenance I guess !?!?

Aye - a good night was had. The "different drink for each round" idea probably wasn't the best plan when you're racing the next day, but seemed like a good idea at the time!! (it wasn't my idea for a change !!) I actually got to the track EARLY this morning, which is pretty unusual for me, and then won by a clear 3 laps, so no ill effects from the sesh! Does sound like 'limp home mode' and I was going to suggest checking all the connections to intake sensors, but I'm guessing the specialist will have done that already. Maybe a manifold gasket or similar ? Sad news - hope you get it fixed soon. Dave

3 o'clock start sounds ok to me. Earlier than I usually head out, but at least I'll have a better chance of being sober by the time I wake up on Sunday !!! That's the theory at least !! Nice ! I'd have though that must be well over 300 brake. Std sti's are 280 odd and who's going to go to the trouble of a front mount for only 20 brake extra. I'm assuming the older sti's are 280 too aren't they ?? Nice motor though mate - bet you can't wait for December. Dave
