  1. Welcome aboard mate - My parents live in Nethy, so maybe see you around up there some time. Enjoy the forum, Dave
  2. p.s. Dozen eggs for me please Andy
  3. Correct me if I'm wrong Scott, but the meet isn't at the Ratho barge pub, it's at the climbing centre near Ratho. It's only a few miles from Ratho, but is actually in between Ratho and Newbridge. Check directions here : Directions to climbing centre Pretty easy to find - it's basically on the main road between Newbridge and Wilkieston (and is signposted). See you all there! Dave
  4. Anyone with an interest in Subaru's is welcome at Scooby meets, so please come along .... 5. Welcome aboard Alan. Hope to meet you at one of the future meets! I'll be in the P1 with 19" wheels (Bling Bling!!) Dave
  6. Yep, I've got one and like the noise it puts out. Just watch your warranty !!!!!
  7. Good point. I only mention the Audi as it has a better range of 4wd options than VW. If I move away from Subaru, it's likely to be to a quattro I think. Passat is an excelletn car though - my parents are on their 4th !!
  8. Anyone up for a weekend meet then !!!!
  9. What about an Audi A4. I'm not a big beemer fan and would go for Audi first every time to be honest. Good range of petrol and diesel engines too.. Just my preference!
  10. If you're definitely interested in bowling, the place at Corn Exchange is pretty good. Right next to the new ASDA near slateford (Edinburgh). Don't know if that's too far for you West Lothian boys ?? Good deal there during the week as well, as they do an unlimited bowling package where you stay as long as you want (as long as they're not busy, which they rarely are). Just need to ensure you avoid their 'league' nights. Otherwise a pub only night sounds good to me too ! Dave
  11. Nice car and nice price for somebody, especially with the 'leccy recaros and other extras. Good luck with the sale, Dave
  12. Are the complaints that it doesn't clean itself, or worse !?! It's not costing much extra so I'm still tempted but if there's something more sinister wrong with it, I'll avoid. Dave
  13. 1. Spooks n Rosie 2. RubyTheScooby 3. Stevo 4. FastScooby 5. Andy & Mrs 6. Mr Kart
  14. Where in OZ are you all heading? I'll be out there for a few weeks in the next month or 2 as well.
  15. What age is your car? I've got a Forge one available for the late classic shape impreza (1999-2001 roughly).
  16. Just about to order a conservatory, but am in 2 minds about this Pilkington Activ self cleaning glass stuff. Does anyone have it, and does it really work? I've heard some people say it goes streaky while others rave about it, but that's the sales people who don't necessarily tell the whole truth at all times !!!! Any opinions or experiences ? A socttish perspective may be useful as we have 'unique' weather up here really don't we !!??!! Dave
  17. I'd recommend Glenburgie strongly. Nice guy with good knowledge and prices.
  18. Been in touch with Raceland and am just working out final details with them. Tom (the owner) is kean to get us down there so is willing to be a bit more flexible than he would with A.N. Other booking (he's a Subaru owner too), so I'm just working with Graham to get the the best event at the best price. One concern I had was timing however. Gumballs original idea was to have an early start and then retire for a nice lunch somewhere. Is this ok with the Aberdonian contingent? It would mean getting home at a reasonable time, but will mean an early start. Opinions here would be appreciated please. The usual options are chek-in at approx 9:30, 12:30 or 3:30. I have to admit I like the early option, as it makes for better carpark photo opportunities after the event, and leaves time for lunch etc., but just want to make sure we don't put people off with the early start. More details soon.
  19. p.s. Bowling sounds good. The place at Corn Exchange does a good deal during the week. Unlimited bowling for £6 (or maybe £7 - can't remember). Good value if you're up for more than 2 games. Just a thought.
  20. Haven't made it along to a meet for a while, so definitely up for one soon. How about tomorrow !!??!! Jane's having a girly night - so I'm being chucked out !! Seriously though - any decisions made Scotty boy ??? Dave
  21. << That really was taking it WAY to far You sellin the AP's? >> Never!! If I sell the P1, I'll fit them to the GTR (or whatever I get next )
  22. Oh yeah, forgot about the brakes!! Ok, maybe not that standard after all !!! Surprised they weren't blamed for my head gasket going as well !!!!
  23. << Owned for 27 months and still nearly standard - is that a miracle? >> I think I beat you there.. unless you count a dump valve, 19's and a samco hose??
  24. P1's going great. Got a puncture just before Christmas, but got a new tyre fitted yesterday, so all is well. I'm doing a few 'tweaks' to the Skyline at the moment, so it's not on the road, but should be in the next month or so. Watch this space How about you and yours?
  25. Remap from Andy should take you up to P1 power, especially if you've got a decat. Have fun ! Dave
