Is this a wise idea ?
My rear wheels are covered in lots of brake-dust (the front ones aren't as bad). I was wondering if this would be safe to do without leaving loads of scratches on the wheels. I once used a Brillo pad on my Firestorm exhaust tailpipe and it worked really really well and didn't do any damage whatsoever, just curious in case alloy wheels are made from a softer metal; or whatever; than the tailpipe was and it may cause them so damage?
Anyone ever tried this before ? I have given it a go with a toothbrush but the dust seems to tough to come off with this method.
