About P1 NUT

  1. Wasn't getting a reply so bit the bullet and took a trip through only to find that they shut at 13.00 hrs and I got there at 14.30 hrs. Not a happy chap. Anyway might be going back through tomorrow if they still have the kit in stock.
  2. Anyone know of the opening times for them as I have tried phoning this morning a few times but its just ringing out, thanks.
  3. People don't like spending big money on things that don't last but I am of the opinion that they are your only contact with the road and I always try and by the best tyres I can afford at the time. Would rather have the grip than a tyre that was very hard and lasted 30k but stuck like ice on a slidy thing.
  4. Duncan at Hypertech uses Motul 15w50 or Millers 10w60 I think. The choice of oil is down to the type of driving you do and what year of car you have. If it is a classic and only used for road driving and standard then fully synthetic 10w40 will be fine but if modified or used for track days then 10w60 as it gives better protection than the 10w40. If thinking about the 15w50 then i would only advise this if modified/track use and always used on long journeys as it is thicker than the 10w it takes longer to provide protection to your engine so if you are just a local commute then it won't protect as well as 10w oil. Hope this helps.
  5. We could just take up all the parking in the semi-circle right outside pirate petes. Its off the main road and would look good with all the scoobs facing the road. Excellent position for photos if you know what I mean.
  6. I have been reliably informed that the shell station in Maybole has just received a load of 100RON Optimax. One of my pals has tried it in his ver5 sti and said its night and day compaired to the 98ron stuff. Priced at £1.05 per litre its not too expensive.
  7. Tried AWD in perth, Hypertech, Demon Tweeks and Camskill who phoned tein whilst I was on the phone and was told the above info from the main man at tein uk. No kits anywhere. And why is performance subaru charging an extra £25 for the super street kit than the rrp?
  8. DESPERATELY NEEDING THE ABOVE FOR MY P1 AS THE SUSPENSION NEEDS REPLACED AND TEIN UK AREN'T GETTING ANOTHER SHIPMENT TILL END OF AUGUST HEEEELLLLPPP.
  9. NSR gone on mine too. Was thinking of getting the super street tein kit but undecided wether to do this or just replace the 2 rear units with oe ones and be done with it as I don't think I could be bothered with fiddling with the damping and high settings each time I go to knockhill etc.
  10. What model did you get gus and how do you find them ?
  11. I am getting a banging noise from the rear left shocker and in anticipation of needing to replace the suspension I am looking to see who has done this to what car and their thoughts on it and which kit they have used. My car is a P1 so has anyone else had to do this to theirs, cheers.
