  1. What sort of damage Jamie and what are the reasons? I have just fitted a Turbosmart supersonic and would like to know more about the possible damage that may/may not occur.
  2. I should have the route available at the weekend due to my mate being one of the route organisers. Thats our digs sorted for the Rally folks, got 1 of 6 cottages for the rally in Cliffony, which is on the Sligo to Enniskillen road. Just to deal with the ferry now. Update number 2 looming.[]
  3. Dont know if this will create enough interest to make it a sticky but here goes with an update. UPDATE NO1. Rally Ireland Confirms North West Location Rally Ireland has this week said that next November’s round of the prestigious World Rally Championship (WRC) will take to the roads of the north western counties following a detailed study requested by the sports global governing body to examine the feasibility of hosting the event on the east coast. "We carried out a very rigorous comparative study covering all elements involved in hosting a World Championship round, and we can now confirm that the North West came out as the best venue," said promoter Seán O’Connor. A new feature of the cross-border event, which is expected to draw 150,000 spectators, will be the introduction of a Super Special Stage, where competitors race head to head, and which will give spectators an opportunity to see all the action up close. Rally Ireland have confirmed that they are at advanced stages of discussion with RTÉ, Eurosport and other broadcasters regarding prime-time live TV coverage of this, which will be the opening stage of the WRC round in Ireland. Whilst the detailed route has yet to be confirmed, Rally Ireland has stated that Sligo, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan and Donegal are under consideration as part of the 1,400 kilometre route. It is anticipated that final sign-off on the route should be secured from the FIA, the sport’s governing body, within the next month. The event will see the best rally drivers in the world compete on the island for the first time, including defending Champion Sebastian Loeb (France), Marcus Gronholm (Finland), Dani Sordo (Spain) and Petter Solberg (Norway). With entry numbers capped at 90 cars due to the limited number of satellite timing tracking devices capable of being monitored, competition amongst drivers north and south is likely to be fierce for the remaining slots on the entry list. Independent research carried out last year by the University of Ulster estimated the economic impact of a WRC round to be €46 million and Rally Ireland are confident that this figure will be exceeded. The Rally starts on Thursday 15 November with the Super Special Stage and will finish on Sunday 18 November.

  8. My god, for second there i thought i had logged onto Multimap!!! Excellent piece of technnical drawing there Stephen.
  9. Maybe a more constructive and informative reply by our chairman would have been sufficiant instead of just laughing. I find the new forum very user UNFRIENDLY and having to scroll along/down/up/down along to see a feckin picture is just a joke. I for one am a fully paid up member and have a grey avatar so whats all that about!!! Scoobynet 2 i think here now.
  10. Is it possible to arm and lock the car without setting the internal sensors as my dogs send it haywire everytime i lock up?
  11. Just saved him from tanking by a camera van before the big hill on the run up to the Perth roundabout by pulling up in front of him and slowing him to !!! the correct speed. I got a phone call from one of my guys ahead of me so hope that made your xmas.
  12. Any chance of some in focus please, and thats not of the ford variety. LOL
  13. When you said you were getting another car Del inever expected that. When did you leave to travel down in that , last wednesday? Great pics but you need to get a better zoom lens as the rally cars are really hard to make out!!!
  14. Got this update from another less popular forum, excuse the grammar and certain descriptions of the incident!!! Aye, was also stuck for nearly an hour!! Black classic shape Scooby with Gold Wheels, and either I've been on the Magic Mushrooms, or need SpecSavers, but I'm sure it was an X Plate (first X plate classic I've seen) It run up the arse very very heavy into an old Volvo 440. Which ht a NLC van Which hit a Saab Convertable Which hit something else (I'm sure this was the right order) Usual pish on that stretch of road, up each others flugpipes, and obviously driver reactions are not as they thought. Hope none are too seriously injured (Paramedics had spinal boards out)
  15. Received the sad news of the passing of Ellen today. For those who may not be aware of who she was Ellen was the co- driver for Loiuse Aitkin Walker and also James Cullen. So sad.Thoughts go out to all concearned
  16. Just heard from a mate scoob crashed at the showcase cinemas.,. dont know any details at all so hope all are ok.
  17. Since no one is interested in buying my voucher for Meercat i am donating this to the raffle. The voucher is for either a Meercat backbox supplied and fitted or a cold air wing intake conversion. Can post the voucher to you Peter ?
  18. Is it true that the scoob was actually stolen and the driver was well lets say not entirely sober and that is was being actively persued by the cops? It is alleged that it was in an accident on London Road too? Dont know how true it is but there are always two sides to every story. Still very sad that a life has been lost though.
  19. Your wish shall be my command Del, Down in Hull at the moment but will get more up on my return. Spotted the fully marked up STI Police car again tonight, will try and get a photo if he passes the site tommorrow. stunning livery btw.[]

  22. Definately the struts mate, i should know i am on my ........................ ...................FIFTH SET!!!!!!! All covered under warranty though.
  23. The scoob is for sure a fire brigade car privately owned by a member of the fire service who has authority to use it as a mode of transport for official duty. It is most definateley NOT a police car or is used by the police. And that comes direct from a friend of mine who is a police inspector. Was in Hull the other week and saw a fully marked up STI cruising about.will try and get my site manager to get a photo or 2. stunning car.
