I managed 11.68 with 400ish BHP so you should manage low 11's if not a 10
-
Here is the opinion on running in of a few people who are in the know http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=000843
-
I think you will struggle to get 600bhp on a .63 housing going from experience. I stick the fact you won'y get full boost till about 5k rpm though. I get full boost on a 2.1 equipped TD05 20g at about 4k rpm and it is alot smaller than even my GT30R
-
6 speed will be fine GT30 billet would be better, you will most likely not see full boost till 5k revs onwards
-
With a GT35 probably mid to high 500's if not more, put it this way your clutch will be on the limit What gearbox will you be running?

-
Behave..... You won't be laughing when it's finished!!

We should always shut about the good stuff !

Good write up. At least the RB has a strong gearbox that won't break every 5 minutes like your last car -
Enjoyed the weekend. Next year I will have a car ready to show evo's how it is done
-
Got plenty pics most ore crap though How does the pursuit work???? Somebody has a problem Blair Evo was quick considering Not as fast as this though

Im talking about a short block built. New liners supplied and fitted, block machined and decked. And then engine built. Basically the cost of crank, pistons, rods, rod bolts, 4 liners and the machine work to remove the original liners and fit the new ones, deck the block and hone the liners. Block already has a 14mm head stud conversion and conversion for rear thrust crank. I still need 14mm head studs, baffled sump water pump, oil pump, timing belt kit, and work carried out to the AVCS heads which is all at least another £1k plus if I didn't already have most of the parts
-
Bring it on but at the end of the day I am aiming for driveability rather than figures and that magic 10sec quarter and sub 60 seconds at knockers
-
Your perfectly safe at those figures on your engine. Plus i broke my gearbox which was always the week point in my car. I thought it may have broken at some point but just not so soon
-
Pretty much I got a car mapped 9 days after getting it and broke it 3 days later :brickwall: :brickwall:
-
Yes you can fit 2 litre heads on a 2.5 block although they should realy be adjusted to cope as they may well restrict the engine. Well worth giving Steve Whitson a phone. Put it this way he is building my 600bhp engine for alot less than your total budget. If you go down the 2 litre route and want a CDB give me a shout as I may well be able to help
-
Ashame to hear that Personally I would go down the brand new route. Do you want more power? if so how much?
-
Looks superb in white but needs lowered and a nice set of 18's IMHO How do you find it to drive compared to a classic? I found newages a bit dull
-
I always leave about a week for a reply from Andy unless desperate and then I just pester him till i get an answer

I have just priced some up with Alyn at AS performance here is what he said Pads Pagid rs4.2 blue £185ish, or rs5 at £200ish Rotors an American pattern race rotor at £350inc./pair, genuine AP discs RRP at £453.12inc./pair and PF versions at RRP £454.90inc. Not very cheap im afraid. He can get 10% off the AP rotors and 5% off the other type not sure about. He advised me to go for AP PF's at £454 and i will be going for The pagid RS4's.

Another lucky escape from Ron the con (Raw Performance)
ciaranrb5 replied to G.Mac's topic in Scottish Scoobies
It amazes me how did Ron/Mike have such a good reputation if his work is so poor? Your in good hands with Steve or well I hope so anyway -
How long is a bit? I have a very large barn and could store for you if required?
