  1. Its a good idea while the car is in bit's I managed to get 4 coil packs and an newage AVCS loom for under £100 off the bay so not expensive either
  2. Im sure you could manage that yourself though baz I will be getting the kit for building my own car and my mates escort cossie anyway if anybody fancies anything coated give me a shout.
  3. Take it to specialist im sure they will sort it at a decent price
  4. Who did them for £160 was that full refurb from start to finish? I meant to type £200 Im sure coatech charged me £280 to do mine before.
  5. First check the fault codes and check they are clear. If not replace what needs done. Does it sound normal? Are the intercooler pipes on ok? I experienced a similar thing when i had a split pipe.
  6. Any pic's mate? where did you get it from? Im from Alyth may see you about some time
  7. Have a mate who owns a spray shop. Were talking the other day about the fact powder coating is very expensive to have done. We have a done a bit of research and it seems as if powder coating companies are taking the piss a bit Put it this way a set of wheels could be done for sub £200. Looking to be able to do parts up to about 8ft in length to covers the ability to do subframes etc. So what do you folk think?
  8. Sorry lad your north of aberdeen. I actually know the exact town/chapel you live in but wasn't writing it on an open Forum
  9. BHP developments WUZ on here he is based up Elgin direction there is also an Aberdeen scoobies website http://aberdeenscoobies.invisionzone.com/index.php?
  10. The compressor housing can be rotated to whatever position is required. As you said it's just a mock up of your engine bay when is the car likely to be finished?
  11. I love that.... sell all my cars and projects and buy it?????
  12. Fee was tearing away on straights the Seat seemed to catch under breaking every time? Looks like brilliant fun
  13. I would be getting them painted rather than powder coated as 1. If you scuff one wheel and know the colour you can get it sorted 2. have seen wheels crack due to the powder coating process
  14. Im not going to make this due to work How is it possible to work 40% of the year and miss anything worth going to?
  15. The law is so unclear I also know i can not tow over 750kg other than that im so confused i now tow nothing. Law is a joke pre 97 people can drive a lorry up to 12t and post 97 we can't do anything other than a few bit of cotton wool. To be fair towing is one of the hradest things a car driver can do as there is twice as many variables to go wrong, I drive regulary behind proplw who do 40 flat out yet they can drive a lorry which is a worry
  16. get an aftermarket ECU and get it mapped properly. im selling a 4 plug V1 and V2? 92-96 As for gearbox a 754 will probably handle high 300's depending on the driver Standard block is good for mid 300's but that would depend on history and how it has been treated.
  17. KCA Deutag Noble drilling Maersk FPSO's Blue water SBM Petrofac Wood group Could get you dozens to be honest

  19. 10mins what you frucking about at
  20. Have plenty spare shafts....... with 500/500 and my sympethatic style I recon I am safe enough. main thing is the through shaft won't break again
  21. Sort of they are through axels to replace the standard ones that tend to be the weak link in R180 shafts. Same type as run by Mr Forrest and mad hammer who both run over 700 on them with no breakages so far so should be prefect for my mear 500/500ish
  22. Well after a few a bit of indecision I have made a decision The engine and gearbox will be coming out of the 4 door and going away for a refresh and will then be bolted back in the 4 door and the front mounted GT30R fitted as this is the quickest cheapest option and means the car will be up and running for next spring. Unlike me I have been buying and selling a few bits And anybody know what these are?
  23. One of the other sets I saw were actually standard STI wheels from a V7. The other set were Duncan Grahams. I don't know if it is bad workmanship as different materials are going to react differently to different tempeartures amongst other things to blame the powder coater would be a bit harsh
  24. Third time I have seen that now on a set of powder coated wheels the extreme temperatures used in the powder coating process can cause this.
