  1. Who calls us anything other than 'SIDC' anyway? It's such a mouthful anyway that it's rare I ever hear us referred to as the 'Subaru Impreza Drivers' Club' (and yes, the grammar IS right lol ) As Frenchy says anyway, all members will be getting sent stickers so I wouldn't see that as reason not to renew... ...as a heads up, keep an eye out for the next TG to see the rebrand in action
  2. I heard a charger option might be on the way, I thought cosworth were working on a turbo setup though?
  3. This won't help then... spotted flying North from Trafalgar Square
  4. Yep, get club membership for £20 and you'll have 2 years worth of TG to read though at www.sidc.co.uk/truegrip
  5. They're stipulating it as terms of the insurance so whilst they might take your money, you won't be covered without a tracker at all.
  6. Bugger, just saw this. Sorry, would've recommended the one you got anyway lol
  7. Adzuna Cars have released a search tool for people searching for a new car... thought I would give it a go. Seems it's actually kinda accurate - despite being termed a bloody boy racer it did recommend me an Evo or an Impreza. Would like to point out that I have never and will never drink WKD lol
  8. Michelin and Rallying with Group B are pleased to announce the UK’s only multi-venue rally for Group B cars and other rally cars of significant note: The Michelin Rallye Groupe B. Sponsored by Michelin, the rally will take place over the bank holiday weekend of 25/26 August on the roads of Cheshire and North Staffordshire, with Special Stages in the grounds of castles and stately homes and service at Oulton Park race circuit. The event is Rallying with Group B’s take on the fabled spectacular stages of the RAC Rallies of the 1980s and will be run as a National B Event under the General Regulation of the UK MSA. It will incorporate the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA and Appendices K and J, both for competition and demonstration. Rallying with Group B’s members have already reserved 60-plus places so there should be cars to suit every taste that will help recapture the heady days of this iconic era of rallying. Regulations and further details for the event will be issued as soon as possible and will be available at: www.rallyegroupeb.com Steve Dolby, Michelin Product Marketing Manager, comments: “Michelin is delighted to be involved with the Rallying with Group B Trust on this spectacular event. “Michelin has a strong commitment to motorsport, demonstrated by the fact that we are at the top of today’s World Rally Championship and we were also there during the glory days of Group B on such iconic cars as the Audi Quattro and Peugeot 205 T16. Therefore, it is only natural that Michelin is involved in this event which aims to recapture the feel of one of the most memorable periods in rallying’s history”.
  9. There any signs of the 95 running short down there? Heading down at the weekend and was hoping to fill up - its £146.9 here for crappy sainsburys fuel
  10. Google have now lifted all warnings relating to the site. Browsers will follow suit in due course. Thank you to everyone for your patience through this
  11. Like I said, it'll take 12-18hours at the very least before improvements are seen. We're just at the mercy of Google I'm afraid.
  12. Certainly illustrates the power google commands over the Internet doesn't it! Imagine if you were a small online retailer and you had that happen, it would be a nightmare!
  13. Lots of posts about this on the forum. It was an issue with the ad server which has been rectified. It takes a few days for google and virus protection to catch up though
  14. Update posted at the above link
  15. **UPDATE** There is currently no longer a threat to security as this has been removed (as has the ad server for precaution). I have submitted a request to Google to rescan the site so the warnings should hopefully disappear in the next 12-18 hours. Thank you for your patience.
  16. Worst handling car I've driven was a Ka as well... Felt as through the steering wasn't connected to the wheels. One 10 minute drive was enough to convince me that no matter how bad things get, nothing will EVER convince me to drive one again lol
  17. Now THAT'S a good call! Can't see us getting around copyright mind but whilst I look into it, I think an sidc spotify playlist is in order!
  18. The rebrand is purely visual and won't be affecting memberships beyond the membership packs. If you want to wait for them then that's an entirely personal choice I would've thought
  19. I'll be at the club AGM so I'll not be able to arrange anything but you guys are more than welcome to arrange amongst yourselves - shout if you need any help
  20. Easy now!! Who says you would even be allowed
  21. I've a 2005 GX Got her in 07 and at that point she was externally fairly standard (with the exception of a bonnet scoop but had had some porting, polishing and reprofiling done internally and a RR readout at 184bhp iirc - so 25/30 over standard. I've since removed the borla and induction kit (but added a 2.5" centre pipe) and a year or so back she put out 192bhp on the RR - the borla and induction kit were actually holding the car back. If found the best balance was an updated STi panel filter fitted to my (modified) factory air box I've also swapped the scorpion back box that used to be fitted for an Afterburner Vortex. Externally she's still pretty standard but I no longer have the scoop but have bigger brakes all round, WRX shocks & Eibach springs (STi front shocks ride higher on the blobs). I've also go 17" Oz Supertourismos in AM Vantage grey.
  22. Sorry to hear this, thoughts are with his family and I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing him a speedy recovery.
  23. No, bought and lightened I thought the RCM ones were for the STi? Might look into one myself now the clutch is starting to show its age
  24. IIRC the WRX flywheel is of comparative weight to the stock n/a flywheels. You should me able to get another and get it lightened under £300 - makes a huge difference. Used to have one fitted to mine but after the ex was stalling it at nearly every junction, I switched back to standard.
