  1. Theres a piccy of my old WRX on there too (BG54 YCJ) but they are 17"s in that pic. I'll see if i can dig out a pic of my scoob before that one on the 18"s.
  2. Welcome to SIDC mate Get some snaps up when you get chance
  3. I'm a big scooby fan whatever the shape mate. But my own money has only ever gone on the blob-eye shape
  4. Good luck with the build fella! Nice looking scoob you have there, hopefully it will have plenty of 'go' to match the 'show' soon!
  5. Can't argue there i still think the blob is the best looking scoob to date. Not that a good looking scoob can't be improved on (yes i'm biased though ) Good choice of scooby
  6. I put 18's on my old blob WRX years ago. I didn't change the springs and i was happy enough Theres no reason to change the springs if you don't want too. So i didn't Unfortunately i don't have any photo's of that old scoob to put on here.
  7. Hmmm, stickers? Yeah go for it, a friend of mine saw the new look for the first time yesterday and asked how much the new headlights cost me don't think he could quite believe that i'd stripped it all down like that ...well till he saw the photos. What blob are you getting?
  8. Very nice fella, looks a tidy wagon No idea about your wheels though mate.
  9. Wow fella you have been busy! Sounds like you got it all planned out well Good luck with your project, look forward to the pics
  10. Cheers guys! No i don't use the car everyday, yesterday was the first time in 7 days that i'd started it. Yes i can lay my hands on a multimeter, i'm a electrician Just not a car electrician which is why i'm stuck My work is house and industrially based.
  11. Heres how the de tango looks on the car Only got this snap today cars been in the garage
  12. welcome fella! Don't think that because 40 odd views and no reply means everyone is ignoring you. You've asked some specific questions that many on here, including me, can't answer. There are a few techy guys on here that will probably be able to help, but its the weekend! Most are probably out washing their scoobs rather than watching this website every 5 mins Give it a bit of time fella! BTW that looks a nice scoob you have
  13. Cheers mate. I'll give that a go. There are no gauges fitted and the standard stereo is still in it too, i don't see the point of turbo timers, so again not one fitted.
  14. The blinking battery was flat yet again this morning I wouldn't mind but i brought a brand new battery less than 8 months ago I've had my local dealer look at the car and the only thing they thought might drain it is the tracker unit, which will search for 15mins after being put in the garage. They couldn't find anything else, but there has to be a problem somewhere surely! Does anyone know a bit about car electrics, that might have an idea please?
  15. I disagree, i love those headlights AF has them on his white scoob and i think they look superb. Just IMO
  16. Hi mate, your classic Prodrive should put out around 240bhp as standard, though with age you might have lost a few horses from the stable. Unfortunately there is no way that anyone on here can tell you if your car is under achieving. A few ways would be to rolling road your scoob to see how much power its producing, another is give it a good service and see if that helps. You could try going out in a fellow owners version, but this is a long shot as i very much doubt two scoobs would be alike, what with mods being done to most owners cars. Or you could fit gauges and make sure turbo pressure is correct etc etc. Or it could be your conception of what you thought a Subaru should go like? What did you have before the scoob?
  17. Do try and make the trip mate. Its superb
  18. yeah i'll give you that. Good point.
  19. I don't know your car mate. I haven't posted all the snaps i took, and none of the ones my mate took, so chances are i unknowingly have a photo
  20. Well it is really isn't it. The turbo is only sucking in more air via exhaust gasses. A 2.0ltr is still a 2.0ltr turbo or not ...I guess Still don't think thats right though. Grabbing scumbag government.
  21. I didn't look into it that deeply. I'm surprised by that
  22. Not just any bike that either. I chose the Renault because its as close to a bike as any 'normal car' can be. Cut slick tyres, light weight, scaffolding covered in plastic fairing. And affordable. I could have just chosen the Radical SR8 which holds the record at 6mins 55secs Tazman, all those bikes are quick, after all they are R1's, GSX-R'S etc. But you haven't listed one that has a time to rival even something lardy like a Corvette ZR1 (7mins 26.4sec) Now lets not make this a bike vs car thread. My OP was just a tip about being careful of the bikers when you go to the 'Ring in a car.
  23. On the Inovit or Rota 18 x 7.5's a 225/40 R18 is required. The difference between ET45 and 48 is a puny 3mm and not worth worrying about mate. Both those wheels will fit your scoob without rubbing the arches. Just make sure you get the PCD correct for your car! 5 x 100 on all scoobs. 5 x 114.3 on STi only from '05 on.
