  1. Taking shape Paul lovely car, I would think twice about fitting coilovers mine were OK on track but driving around our wonderful roads in central region ruined the whole driving experience for me I got to the stage where I actually cringed every time I drove the car.
  2. Happy birthday auld yin how many candles is it this time 50 again lol
  3. I just binned Keith Michaels they wanted £420 for my 17 year old RA got it on my Admiral multicar for £260
  4. Kenny I usually write to them around early June to enquire if we can have the use of their top car park & what availability they have around end of July or during August, been thinking Sunday 31st July if everyone wants a day at the wheel, but theres also Blair Drummond Safari Park for the kids, we can suss it out at the next round of meets to get everyones opinion. bobby
  5. Looks good Graeme but you should have been on the fling & got it dirty first
  6. Strange knocking noise from under the bonnet revealed the crankshaft pulley wheel was wobbling around, securing nut had come loose, glad it happened in the driveway & not on the run, car will get checked out tomorrow at Duncs
  7. Another Fab weekend, great weather, great roads, great company myself & Mags had a ball, big big thanks to everyone who helped organise things & took part, the old ford averaged 27.5 mpg over the weekend, bad bit is the RA has to go to the scooby doctor tomorrow to get checked out for damage more ££££££ssss
  8. Hi Fraser I never got one phone call when I tried to sell the GB but I made £3600 on the parts within day's of it getting put back to standard, I would certainly remove what you can if you have any of the origonal parts mate
  9. Cool i'm off pm'd you
  10. Love it Barry mind & pop round when your at Duncs
  11. He He He am I not glad I got rid of the GB270, as of the 1st April £460 a year £25 increase & £1,000 for the first years road tax good old rip off Britain more & more subaru owners are going to find ownership is just getting to be too expensive
  12. My self & young Gaz went up & used our vouchers for the rally experience today & had a bit of a laugh, the cars are standard 2.0l 4WD subaru's, 5 laps clockwise then 5 anti clockwise, then one with the instructor driving who cheated & used the hand brake for entertainment value, due to the size & set up of the track you never get out of 2nd gear but it's good fun, would have loved to take the RA round as it's a lot more powerful & better equipped. It's quite expensive £175 when you consider you can play at Kames all day for £40
  13. Remember our wonderful government has sneaked insurance premium tax up from 5% > 20% this year yet another stealth tax barstewards, my sons 1.4 seat was £1447 with two years NCB
  14. Yep they do I just happened to have a prodrive sportscat in my junkyard of scooby spares lol
  15. Iain & myself carried out exactly the same mods to the GB's with the exception of the exhausts, Iain went for a 3" full decat I went for 2.5" sportscat, difference when mapping 3bhp not worth talking about, torque was 390+ apart from the prodrive sportscat Stainless Creations in Falkirk did the rest, they'll do you any style of tailpipe you want they use cobra back boxes Personally I wouldn't bother with the hassle of the decat route unless you think the slight gain in bhp is going to benefit you
  16. Hatches are the way forward lol but get yourself a real one
  17. Hi & welcome to the club, there are so many different options you can go for, have a look at Andy's site & it will give you an idea of what you can acheive, a panel filter, cat back exhaust & a map might be sufficient as it's not all about BHP, with the 2.5l engine you can get a massive mid range torque increase with minimal mod's
  18. Sorry to see another scoob go it's getting tight for everyone, I don't want to be a messenger of doom but my son had the 150 CDTi with the Fiat engine in it, kept it 8 weeks it was thirstier than the bloody scoob round town but was OK on a motorway run, should be ok for the Aberdeen run
  19. What's wrong wi doin both & having an overnighter
