Scoobies seem to eat batteries the tracker & alarm just kills them, so much for modern technology, number of times Iv'e went away on holiday & came back to dead car ended up buying a small trickle charger off Dunc & just leave it connected if I aint usin the car too often, OK if youv'e got a garage I suppose, but these power packs are definately worth investin in, Hope you get sorted John lookin forward to seein the new stripes at KH

What brakes you got on it just now ? might sound a bit a*** about tit but standard & even brembos can burn out when you start pushing on a bit, give Duncs a ring after the suspension & brakes are sound, sometimes you won't need too many engine mods you might find the right power delivery is OK with min engine mods & remap, speak to Dunc & Andy Forrest they wont take any more money off you than neccessary. unless your loaded wi money 2 burn.

Booked in on Fri to get shocks checked at Grieves knocking is interrmittent can be on rough road or just pottering into the drive, sounds worse cause it's amplified up through the chassis, first time it drove me daft grrrr checking the exh etc couldn't find fek all, Dunc at Hypertech put me right

Iv'e only covered 2,600 mls from new & i'm getting that famous knocking noise again, had to replace all four on my 53 plate STI as well & as you say they told me that they had sorted the problem out, obviously telling porkie pies Looks like uprating them is the only way to go

Much the same as yourself, I've done the center pipe & back box, still to do the down pipe then anti-lift kit & drop links, front & rear strut braces & K-sport front brake upgrade, i'll see how it handles after that. I don't know what injectors are in the 270 once Duncan finds out it might be new injectors & re-map or turbo as well not sure how much power you can push with top mounted intercooler but woul be happy with 350 if I can get it. Every time I mention Hypertech the missis gets Hyper

I've been drivin & always had some variation of subaru since 96, loved the classics were great fun, I remember the days when you had to wait 9 months from ordering a classic turbo & you didn't get a choice of colour ooooh, had a 53 plate STi for three yrs but always felt it would be better with a five speed gearbox, got a GB270 just now & it's the closest to a classic that i've driven, once I spend a bit & get Dunc at Hypertech to sort the suspension out & play around with the engine a bit it'll be even more fun, only complaint desperately needs an exhaust to make it sound like a scooby

Sounds like the same problem I had with my classic MAF looked OK but I changed it anyway & never looked back

Hi had mine for about six weeks now, it's my 4th scooby got rid of my 53 plate sti for this one, drives well still trying to compare the differenc, just as quick through the gears, starts to run out of puff around 130 mph but wont be up there that many times, £57 for first 1000 mile oil , change, Duncan at hypertech in will be looking after this car from now on rather than the main dealer that way I know it's getting well looked after. Needs front strut brace to stiffen up the front end a bit but first mod will be a new exhaust to get back that famous burble, stereo is crap but who cares fab car to drive get yourself one it's a bargain Bobby C

Hi I fitted a mongoose 4inch (collins) system to my classic which sounded nice not to loud, I had S & S Exhausts at Hillington build me a cat back system for my 53 plate STI £275 fitted which was the dogs bollocks but on a long run you could do with earplugs, Speak to Duncan Stark at Hypertech in Bonnybridge & they'll advise they have fitted everything Tel 01324 812212 Bobby C
