  1. Hi Chris I think the new team have got a lot of ideas that they want to discuss with the full committee at the up & coming AGM & I'm pretty sure membership pricing will be high on the agenda to try and entice old members back into the fold & make it more attractive for new members to join. Times are going to get even tougher first half of next year & £30 is a bit steep especially in the present climate. I will be renewing & will lend my support in any way I can to help the club. bobby

  3. Hi Gordon howz you doin old timer, tell Heather were asking for her, I binned A Plan as well this year best they could do was £600, I've gone back to Admiral the only thing is if you had a prang they would only repair the car back to standard which shouldn't worry yourself, I got a multicar policy for the RS with the 350 BHP mountune kit (you know white is the fastest colour gordon) £223 fully comp protected & £ 265 fully comp prot for the RA & yes that's even cheaper than SAGA before all the wise a*** comments
  4. Looks like I left myself logged on to Cathy's computer oooops lol Well done everyone to all committee members both old new, lets all get together now and try and take the club forward and make it stronger for the future

  6. Communication is the key Stu and there does'nt seem to be any these day's. I like yourself am only a club member but I can see the club numbers dwindling in front of my eye's, I don't know what's happening, what's planned for the future, there's no accounts published, no indication of how many paying members are left in the club. Even the vote is testomony to that, some 78 members have voted to date there may be a few more to come but as a club that equates to an income of £2340, I know in Scotland we have quite a few non-members who might consider a membership fee but not at £30. I think the majority of commitee members both old and new try their best & do a sterling job but in the present financial climate we need to stop bickering get out heads together and come up with solutions to push the club forward or we wont have a club. I hope whoever our new commitee members are both old & new can pull together as I am sure they will to take the club forward for many years to come.

Well insurance is due for the GB on the 28th been with A Plan last couple of years, all MODs declared normally around the £500 mark fully comp protected & the RA is with Keith Michaels £350 fully comp This year A Plan want £625 as insurance rates have gone up on average by 30 percent, Tried go compare which now has a facility to declare MOD's & it came back with a price of £338 with Admiral who I was with originally and actually told me to leave the car in the garage & get a new insurance company when I carried out the MOD's the mind boggles

  15. I bought a 46 inch Samsung LCD from Costco in Glasgow 18 months ago with 5year warranty same TV from Curry's or Comet with 5 yr warranty cost £600 more, TV only lasted 18 months & went duff found the LCD would pixalate quite a bit, took it back to Costco they handed me the readies no problemo & bought a Panasonic 50 inch plasma with new warranty, superior picture quality & £160 in my hip Result, if it goes duff again got the warranty so who cares I'm positive Cosco have a deal on this month offering a further £100 off some 42 & 37 inch TV's
