  1. Hatches are the way forward lol but get yourself a real one
  2. Hi & welcome to the club, there are so many different options you can go for, have a look at Andy's site & it will give you an idea of what you can acheive, a panel filter, cat back exhaust & a map might be sufficient as it's not all about BHP, with the 2.5l engine you can get a massive mid range torque increase with minimal mod's
  3. Sorry to see another scoob go it's getting tight for everyone, I don't want to be a messenger of doom but my son had the 150 CDTi with the Fiat engine in it, kept it 8 weeks it was thirstier than the bloody scoob round town but was OK on a motorway run, should be ok for the Aberdeen run
  4. What's wrong wi doin both & having an overnighter
  5. When my mate got paid off he started up on his own & he got a similar one to yours, six months old, 6,000mls on the clock all the toys £13500, an awful lot of car for the money & it has a caverness boot if your'e transporting stuff,

  11. Ah well time to get the wallet out again RA's booked in for service & MOT, front & rear ARB bushes required, drop links, exhaust is blowing & might need a new cat / up pipe the joy's
  12. I was going to get the guys at Cumbernauld to wrap mine with the carbon fibre effect to match the wing mirrors, think it was £50 for the splitter getting wrapped
  13. I think £20 to become a fully paid up member is buttons in this day & age, every single one of us has wasted more money on things we don't need over & over again, pay your £20, advertise some peice of subaru scrap that's lying around unwanted in your garage, job done, membership covered, & the club get's the support required, Some barsteward remove my item from the for sale section, worst case scenario I have to re-advertise big deal You can't please everyone & I don't agree with every decision that's made but i'm in the club to enjoy myself, life's to short just like me to be negative all the time, I think there is light at the end of the tunnel, after the AGM the position of the club should be a lot clearer & we should be able to see what direction we need to take to move the club forward & keep it afloat.
  14. Nice one Alasdair I found that power just about right and never had any issues with my 2.5
  15. Fooks sake that means I joined the RN 10 years before you popped out & I had my first BMW 325i sport while you were just being thought about
  16. Thats me Paul, saw you at the last minute by the way that plate was bought in 98 long before I even thought about the Subaru connection, S16 SUB was HMS/M Oracles pennant number which I served on from 1978 > 1988, myself & a young officer both had opal kadet sr's & used to race to work daily. In 1998 I served on AFD 60 and the same officer had climbed the ranks and was now in charge. I bought it & put it on my car just to piss off the captain off when I parked next to him as he was a knob although i,ve owned subaru's since 96 iv'e only been in the club a couple of years
  17. Iv'e still got the stainless creations back box left from my GB which was a cobra for sale, looking for £55 I'll dig out a couple of pics for you. It's a lot quieter but you still get the burble quite welcome to try it out. Drop me a pm if you're interested.
  18. Roll on your visit to Hypertech cannae wait to see it Barry
  19. Yep I still get a kick every time I jump into the old RA, unfortunately in the present climate they're doing their best to get us off the roads, I must admit though the two main reasons I got rid of the GB was the state of the roads in Stirlingshire & the running costs for only doing 4,000 miles a year. The roads were killing the car & it took a lot of the pleasure out of driving it.
  20. Ahh now I know whose car it is, Looks good I saw it in the flesh when you went past my house in Reilly Gardens the other day, if you up stop off for a chat
  21. Yeh I love it, that ones running more power than my old GB & it beats the scoob hands down, never thought i'd say that but there you go, i'm liking the beamer by the way it's no slouch either
  22. Another one bites the dust, sorry to see you've got rid of it Billy but in the present climate I think there will be a lot more over the next few months, take care mate & enjoy the mini
