  1. but you will always be a local boy. I am sure i can disassemble the Rhu Inn and send it through DHL 1.5 bar is pretty high for a VF22, probably the reason it threw a blade. What you changing it too? Grant
  2. Always told you i would buy you a Subaru one day.......... £15 in petrol all the way from Middlesborough to Glasgow now there is not many Scoobs out there than can achieve that. Price wise my PowerFC cost more so cant complain as all the electrics and mechanicals are sound. Just needs a wee touch up here and there to bring her up to scratch. It would be the fastest Scoob in the universe with an import WRX engine strapped into a Justy. Grant
  3. << Helensburgh for me...................Rhu Inn is my local >> Give or take 3500 miles...... Grant

  6. On GEMS i think they earth the immobillisor circuit to prevent it from interfering with the ECU Check the connections around the ECU for any loose earths or connections As Jamie said it is hard when the car is not in front of you Agree with AlanG re the map. Something has happened since the car was mapped to bring about the alarm symptoms. Grant
  7. Got one here that might fit.....hell i have two std dump valves here but i need one and you can have the other if it fits Grant

  10. Nothing to worry about, it is only the unburnt fuel expolding in the exhaust. Start to worry when it does not POP as this will be the fuel entering your sump and making the oil nice and thin. Increase the frequency of your oil changes would be my advise to stop the oil going to thin Grant
  11. << Wheres ma 50 quid?? RICEY >> WOW He still owes you it........ Grant
  12. << i was thinking about asking these two today actually. Didnt think he ate till i saw him eating that mental dessert last night >> Just the 1 spoon hen.................... 13. HHHHMMMMM.....Overboost on a blob eye STI UK car. Now where have i heard that before...... Common occurance with the turbo that is fitted to your car after a remap. Maybe have to look for a different turbo to cure the overboost but if you want to try a boost controller then i couuld try and source one for you Steve or Phil....I am dieing to know.......1 ace, 1 not so ace Grant
  14. Glad to hear you like it It is true about the lack of brakes when the Anti-Lag is on. Rough when cold and further mapping sessions to iron it out is copletely normal with GEMS. Who was that done the mapping, Phil Marks or Steve Simpson? Grant
  15. I type to slow...... Rearrange the above list into a sensible order. Grant

  19. So whens the next TDE John, bearing in mind fuel is nearly 95p a litre and Shell stations are few and far between. From the feedback on the last 4 runs, the general consensus was that they were well thought out with an excellent choice of roads, ideal gaps between stops, toilet facilities, etc, etc and that people thought the expense of the fuel was worth it. The reason i have never adopted the 4/6 cars at a time rule was the experience of the Type R Scotland run in Jan of this year. After we left the Stirling starting point we never saw any other members of the run the entire day. Although a top day with an excellent choice of roads we felt a tad isolated at the end in Pitlochry I have not used the different roads in different directions idea as all the printing of the 30+ page map/booklet and the fuel used in the recce come out of my own pocket. To make up a route map with 4 different routes on it would be a daunting task. At the moment with the current idea the construction of the map book takes a full day with Imy on the PC and to inc an extra 3 routes would be a task too far The criteria i have used when arranging the previous runs are. Choice of roads must have a bit of everything Under 200 miles, as this is about how much a Scooby will do at cruising pace Large car park with toilet facilities every 60/70 miles Avoid heavily populated areas Every route map i have printed has my mobile number on both Orange and O2 in case of emergencies. Any notable hazards, blind hairpin, poor road surface, populer police speed trap area, etc, etc are noted on the map Please allow me to send yourself a copy of map booklet on our previous runs to give you an idea of the effort put into these runs we have been enjoying for the past while. Grant
  20. I can understand why you have posted such a thread Sorry but i dont have the required brain power to conform to these new "guidelines" and may have to rope in someone of superior intellect. It is truly a wonder how we have managed 5 runs in all areas of the country and not killed or maimed anyone. Grant
  21. Glad you enjoyed it mate You are one of the brave few to have ventured into the pax seat Wait till its mapped and the rest of the goodies are attatched Grant
  22. Looks like Wilky has been busy........ Street legal apart from the small noise issue......PMSL Graphics and a set of neons would top it off........... Grant
  23. Happy Birthday you old fart From Imy and Me
  24. Have to say there are a few Scoobs kicking about that would make that Megane look like a 355 I wonder how much "it" paid for the interior retrim in fake purple fur Grant
