  2. Aye you gonna fit them to Storm, to help out when he vaults the neighbours 5ft hedge. Grant
  3. I keep on thinking they were originally £200 a pair for the STI ones Wilky did get a good stiff set off E-Bay recently which led to him passing on his original flaps to me for free. Grant
  4. Next time you are driving about at any given speed over 000mph have a wee look at the angle of your flaps. Not having a dig at your flaps cause they suit the wagon well it is just the are a bit flexible in the stiffness dept compared with the £200 STI versions Grant
  5. The cheap flaps tend to go to 90degrees when driven along thus defeating the actual design purpose. If you want flaps that look OK when sitting still or driving under 10mph then go for the cheap ones If you want your car to look good over 10 mph and stop spray being flung up from the wheels then go for the Scott Lowe or STI ones Grant
  6. Look forward to it. I just grab the wheel as well but will strap my hands to my side this time........ Grant
  7. What size of hole did you drill to compensate? Is your block not the 2.5 US? 2 BAR........Can i buy a ticket for the pax seat? Grant
  8. And Colin McRae is to blame for me buying a Subaru Impreza. Damn fine car the Ignis, even smoked a few Scoobs recently. Grant
  9. Stick a Sirloin in the blender and serve it up with a straw Grant
  10. Exactly what i would have said but it would have taken forever and a day to type out using the old 2 finger Squirrel technique. Greersport use the exact same method with the vice grips Grant
  11. The Zero Sports Thermo is an essential addition to any seriously modded Scoob ......IMHO I believe it opens at 71o celsius thus getting the fliud through the radiator earlier David Hendry Cars are the authorized UK dealer for the Zerosports gear Grant
  12. If the fans are running then the ECU is seeing the temp signal and trying to bring the temp down. Good to hear there is no go in the oil and you have guessed my line of thinking. I would aim my attention towards the heating system as the cold air out vents when engine is boiling is the classic sign of the water level being too low. Grant
  13. A very good choice of mods to fit a very nice car Grant
  14. Going from a Blob Eye to a Classic............good choice sir Love the paint scheme on the RB5 Now that warranty is not an issue any plan for mods Grant
  15. Probably his wild staring eyes or maybe his strong urge to fly but in the end it will be his pinhole burns all down the front of his favourite shirt..... At least it is not Colin and Justin off of Channel 5 Welcome Grant
  16. Sorry to hear the Jacqui If there is cold air blasting out the vents when it should be hot means there is no water in the heater matrix Are the fans running when the temp goes above norm? Has the expansion tank filled up or over flowed? Is there any white goo in the oil? Start the car with the expansion tank cap off and gently pump the hose at the bottom of the radiator, keep an eye on the temp and the temp of the bottomhose. If the temp on the dash goes above normal and the bottom pipe is cold....thermostat blocked! Grant
  17. It is a very nice example of an early Scoob The market for selling Scoobs seems a tad slow at the mo but if i hear of anyone looking for a nice WRX then i will be in touch On a side note do you still have my old U8 ECU....... Grant
  18. Any decent sized Bodyshop would be able to mix the paint up from either the "chassis code" or taking a sample from some where discreet. Grant
  19. or in case it does not work I will head down once the bleeding in the mouth has died down to an acceptable level Dont mind being spotted foaming like a nutter but bleeding at the mouth is a new one Where in the States are you based? Whats the best car you have been in or seen? Grant

  22. Just imagine the engine from Andy F's car squeezed into a 800kg Justy. About 2 grand in fabrication making the track wider and enlarging the bell housing About 3 grand for a WRX to donate the engine, gearbox, loom, diff, etc Some custom engineering of the propshafts A new fuel cell in the boot Roll cage Massive Brakes I know what when my car comes to the end of its natural life i will combine the 2 into 1 Super Subaru "We choose to go to the moon"......JFK.........and this is the car that will take us there Finding out that parts for the wee car are not to bad price wise. Spark plugs .................................£10 for 4 Front Brake Pads.........................£13 STI sticker for the rear.................£5 Grant

  24. What a choice to have Motec or PowerFC Motec can operate more functions and is regarded as the pinnacle in mappable ECU's PowerFC can be mapped by GOD and GOD stays in Edinburgh, well Port Seaton to be pedantic 6 of one, half a dozen of the other but as i say damn good choice to have. Grant
