<< Grant, the Braemar road is well worth getting up early for. No traffic, superb bit of road etc. Should only take you about 2 1/2 - 3 hours, (possibly less ), so a 5am start might not be needed. However, a few miles out of Braemar, if you take a left (signposted Tomintoul) before you reach Crathie, then go Tomintoul, Dufftown, Rhynie, Alford then you'll have the most fantastic drive Please take care when approaching/leaving Braemar. Colin does own the 6R4 with a £2k pearlescent paint job. Used it the past 2 years on the McRae forest rally in Perth which both Imy and myself attended. Gee...... the sequel to "Too fast to Race", funnily enough called "Too fast to race 2", is equally spectaculer. I have been lucky enough to have a full chat run in an EVO2 spec RS200, with an est 650-700 horses Andy ....gotta agree with you, the drivers knew the risks and rewards that were involved in hurtling a 500hp machine through the forests.
