  1. Cheers Iain, I have the instruction manual for the AVC-R, or would you be quicker telling me?!?! Thanks for the help mate
  2. Andy suggested the turbo should be checked for damage, he couldn't think of anything else during the mapping session as everything else appeared to be in order. Another thought just crossed my mind, I was running 10% meth on track without being mapped for it (which I'd been told was OK) - could this have made it run on thre lean side causing excess heat and possible damage on the exhaust side of the blower?
  3. It's an Andy Forrest TD05-20G. Tried a spare MAF and got the same results with both intercoolers
  4. On the March SIDC track day by boost dropped from peak of 1.45 to around 1.1bar. Subsequently pranged the car so as part of the repair I upgraded the Autobahn 88 FMIC to one of Harvey Smiths new Hybrid GT Spec numbers. Once all back together it felt like it was boosting properly but I never really got the foot right down with geometry etc still to be done. Went for a mapping session with Andy a couple of weeks ago and got an AVC-R fitted. Tried for a peak of 1.5 bar but it would only peak at 1.38. Question is - if the turbo gave up in March and boost dropped to 1.1 bar on the Autobahn FMIC, could it possibly rise to 1.38 on the mnore free flowing Hybrid? Cheers
  5. I've had Lateral's ones on for a couple of years without any issues. The "burble" is definitley reduced but doesn't really bother me. They would meet your requirements noted above
  6. saw some air intake pipework they did on a Volvo T5 and it was pretty impressive stuff
  7. I ordered the 355mm AP 6 pot kit. Couriers lost it and a new kit was made up and with me within the week. Required spacers which were sent 3 times but never arrived, or an invoice. But, the goods are of top quality and i've spoken to Ian a few times. He knows his stuff and he's a nice guy from what I can gather. Seems a lot of the problems may be coming from the couriers he is using?
  8. Toyo's all the way. Just ordered a set from Camskill myself, seem to be the cheapest by a good bit
  9. looks amazing. The quality of the fabrication work is outstanding, shame to coat it but the ceramic will look good too. Getting a coloured coating from is it Zircotech or something?
  10. bloody work computer won't let me see any of the pics in the thread! Sounds very impressive all the same Peter. Excitement must be getting the better of you now!
  11. Never done it myself but had 3 clutches over the years and the engine has never been out
  12. and the benefit of them is to keep the pistons cool?
  13. Been taking an interest in built blocks and seen oil squirters mentioned a few times but seems all blocks don't have them? Cheers
  14. sounds like what a split intake pipe sounds like but would be strange starting at the same time as change exhaust systems
  15. heard of a few older Samco hoses collapsing but never the stock plasticy ones. Avoid the cheap ones, I paid £100 I think it was for a Autobahn 88 one, didn't fit very well (at all), metal inserts to crank breathers/catch can were loose and it felt like it would have collapsed under very little boost. Only reason I got it was mine had split like playsatan's and the stock ones were on back order and I had a track day to do. Ended up not doing it
  16. Without changing the turbo, decent decat and panel filter and a remap should see you 330bhp
  17. any news on payment details?
  18. I paid 79p a litre from Apple Fuels in Bridgeton, need your own drum though.

  20. seems i'd be wasting money changing to open neck then? Think i'll go for the pulleys instead
  21. Thanks Iain, i've got Lateral Performance GT Spec headers and up pipe on at the moment but note what you say re the downpipe. Cheers mate
  22. Trying to figure out if it's worth forking out £250 for an open neck down pipe before my next re-map. Want to do everthing possible to extract as much power out of my current set up within reason. Getting mapped for methanol. Would I be better spending the money elsewhere on lightweight pulleys for example? Am I losing much power with the twin dump downpipe? Cheers
  23. I feared that would be the answer. Cheers mate
  24. Current downpipe is a twin dump one. On the Andy F remap group buy so would be as well changing to open neck which is aparently less restrictive but concerned different manufacturers systems will not be interchangeable. Anybody know? Was going to contact C&C and Meercat anyway but might be able to source a second hand one cheaper. Cheers
  25. check your air intake pipe for splits where it joins the turbo, mine was split on the underside and gave similar symptoms
