  2. don't have a best as i do most my runs away in the middle of nowhere looking at hills my worst was couple weeks ago by a fiesta st past me whilst i was doing 60 and i thought i'll show this young chap, dropped into 4th and foot to the floor, started to think going a bit fast looked at speedo and was doing 140...never caught him and gave up steve
  3. on my previous corrado which was running very low, i used to go through alot of ball joints and drop links. when the car started following the white lines in the road it usually ment something was needing replaced. could be another possibility? steve
  4. the day before the mcrae gathering i opened my bonnet to check the fluids and when i closed my bonnet it would'nt lock (glad i never left checking fluids till the gathering morning) took off the lock dropped it in a bucket of de greaser over night and the next day i was like new, re greased it and it's been fine ever since. think my problem was a build up of the white grease and alot of mick stuck to it jamming it.
  5. lol or should I say "laugh out loud" I always use proper words when texting as it's quicker to type the correct word using predictive text. However the English language has changed quite considerably over say the last 500 years, gone are the "ye olde" way of talking and in with the new. the oxford dictionary add new words every year, some of this years are, crunk.- a type of hip-hop or rap music characterized by repeated shouted catchphrases and elements typical of electronic dance music, such as prominent bass. hoody (also hoodie)•- informal a person, especially a youth, wearing a hooded top The hardest book i have ever read is "gangs of Dundee" which is written in dundonian dialect. Thir wiz aye baather wi the local guys. Wut stopped us travellin in the end wiz the taxi drevvirz – they got wehz ti wi. Naebidee waanted ti sit in the front, coz the guy kid grab ye. As soon as wi got anywahr in kir’ton “stop here a minit mate.” Ah **** dun a runner! Thatz how wi got hame in they dayz. the only bit i can add about rads is' i bought the £60 cheapo rad off ebay to keep the car running whilst i saved up £300 for the one from subaru. very impressed with the quality and came with a 12month warranty, i'm not buying the subaru part anymore steve

  7. i learn something new every day (mainly thanks to this site)
  8. can you not just fit lower watt bulbs? in previous cars i have taken out the fog bulbs and replaced them with driving bulbs
  9. the law starts to get strange though and very unclear, i got the 30% stuff on my front and got it tested by the tint fitter, it read 67% so just below the limit on the front windows, my fitter then told me that all renault people carrier things come standard with 65% front tinted windows and thats not tinted film but the proper glass, so stright away they are 5% below the limit but it seems to be ok if its a french car?! before the law came out i put the limo black stuff on my corrado windows (a good 10 year ago), it lasted 1 night as when pulling out of work when it was dark i had to put windows down to see if any car was coming as i could hardly see headlights and i would never have seen a motor bike, so it got ripped off the following day.
  10. found a video of jimmy's car being pulled back up the hill, bet he got a fright going over the edge http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=rCFXfNrJlOc
  11. its the road the nevis campsite is on (foot of nevis, walkers side), pass the campsite and the stretch of road from the cattle grid to the wee car park at the end of the road is great. i don't like the section past the lower falls car park though as its a bit tight. waterfall 15min walk from the last car park is great. i think this is the road we are taking about anyway
  12. went for a run up A9 cut over to fort william at dalwhinnie then down through glencoe yesterday (my favourit roads) bar the A9 part and the streatch from lochearnhead to perth (boring parts) glen nevis road is something else got a nice jump or 2 by the time i got to glencoe (7ish) the roads were the quietest i have ever seen and got through glencoe in about 10mins using an estimated £1 per min of fuel. great drive made better by great weather
  13. i like been looking into graphics too after the gathering, i'm thinking 08 wrc graphics in white and power coating wheels white, carbon bonnet, black roof, boot and rear spoiler. (on green classic)
  14. great!! i'm at work and was just about to ask if there is a repeat
  15. my mate has a garage that does mine (anfield road motors) but its not on anfield road . i put mine there for mot but gonna stick it into awd for services. its just a normal garage nothing specialised nor a subaru place, but he's into grass racing and builds his own stock cars and things so knows his stuff, seen a few cossies and stuff in there too. (he also has the contract for most of the towns taxi's) as soon as my car develops any knocking ect i stick it straight into a garage to get fixed so my mot's are just a case of quick check over and get my pass sheet. i dont see the point in travelling just for a 15min test steve
  16. i'm another voting for hks ssqv i like the sound
  17. i remember seeing a cool castrol gt4 going around dundee a few years ago, possibly you? that would've been back when i had the red corrado. kev car looks garage nearly as big as mine
