  4. Good on you Robert - look forward to some more great meets!
  5. The Glasgow meets are well attended Al, I think you'll have no problems finding a worthy successor. Well done to you for all your efforts.
  6. As said above, when I started driving, it was a 900cc 1977 Polo, yellow and rusty, cringe. Anyways, I would have took on anything, especially performance cars to both see and hear them go, so leave the boy racers alone, give them a wee blast, make their day and wave them on, we all started somewhere.
  7. You had these fitted yet Kenny?
  8. No that's him down to NO Scoobs - just a people carrier, a transit and some jap electric hatch
  9. What would be the weight saving replacing all four door windows and the rear screen? Does anyone know?
  10. Just did! NUMPTY! D'oh!
  11. He'll be selling off everything he can so he can turn his Prius into a Scoob
  12. Two Scoobys! Way to go, more dilemma now in which to use! Congrats!
  13. What grease and where from Robert? About to do mine . . . .
  14. So it was a Scottish lawyer then? How much detail did you go into in your original question? Interesting one this, didn't think a lawyer would give you a sniff of a fart for £12!!
  15. Lowest option for me was £13! So if you didn't like an answer you didn't pay Bobby, or did it not come to that?
  16. I asked if anyone could answer Scottish law specific questions and they wanted min £13 to answer. Aye right Jimmy!
  17. John, Thanks for point this out - interesting. Where are you at with the harnesses now? You mention tilting the seats, have you done this yet? Just my 2p on the harness mount, you gotta listen to these guys, if you haven't already, that one with the hole is gonna do zilch in even the slowest of crashes. Bet you wish you never sent the link now buddy! LOL! Catch ya soon Barry
  18. I know Robert, it'll have been said many a time but at what point does the power gain become dis-proportionate to the expense? And then, what increase in performance on the road verses actual usability, don't want it to be so focused that it couldn't go on the Skye run or such like, I'm looking for a balance, erring toward performance. The first mods to 340bhp were a great leap and good value, from now on they become less so. We'll see, hoping the weight loss will contribute to a good increase overall when next engine mods done.
  19. Not a track car John, I can't see it ever being fast enough, or strong enough for that matter, to be used in anger on the track. The car only ever is used for pleasure on the road, my aim is to make it an as effective road car as I can within the limits of the Impreza and my wallet. Lighter, sharper, quicker(slightly) and more fun. It may see a track eventually but I doubt very often. Stripped out road car - that's the aim. It's probably all a bit silly but why carry around all that trim when all I'm doing is belting around backroads, more often than not on my own or with one other. All 'guff' to come out, two buckets and harnesses in, outside must remain true to the rally car look. Suspension mods are ongoing at the moment and the engine will see some work next year I hope, nothing too mental but we'll see where we end up. Never gonna sell it as I could never replace it so may as well play with it!!
  20. Too true, and it does apply to me!
  21. It looks a bit more substantial than that, might be wrong, I'll weigh it when it's out.
  22. Thanks guys, I will try.
  23. Think it's too far for that. I need someone with experience.
