  1. Long story to answering your question. But that option aint no more for me. But you're right, the key used to be able to open the locks and then you can arm or disarm the alarm etc. Think I'll try reverting to that method, incase something similar happens in the future. Ryan
  2. Managed to sort a lift home from the Borders. No further with the car, as it was dark and I only had a wee torch to work with! Sweet talk another lift down to try a few moves on her tomorrow. Trying for the bonnet catch did cross my mind. Fingers crossed with a fresh head on tomorrow morning, I'll manage to get in.... Such is life Any tips or tricks of getting in or popping the bonnet will be very helpful. Ryan
  3. fob is my only option for locking and unlocking. I though the alarm goes off when the battery voltage drops below a certain voltage? Not heard it going off today. No signs of the fob batterys getting low either, they were changed in the last 4-5 months also. Stuck 30 odd miles from home, in the middle of nearly no where. Typical luck likes. Is there a way of breaking in and using the keypad to start her? Or how to pop the bonnet and try the battery?
  4. locked my car with the fob yesterday around 7pm. Went to get in her just now to head home and the fob won't open her. Noticed the red LED beside the clock is not flasing either, or the little red immobiliser light next to the speedo! Car is a 02 bugeye. Any ideas on the problem or solution to getting in to her?
  5. Adjusted my front 2 coilovers up 50mm more between adjusting collars. Gives plenty more front spliter clearance now. Left back end as it was, sits a wee bit odd, but for a good reason. No where near as much scraping noises from underneath and I'm not ploughing the mound of snow in the centre of the roads anymore! FMIC safer for the time being. Lol.
  6. Nice one. Thanks for your confident reply Craig. Ryan
  7. Going to measure between top and bottom nuts. Not sure what to call them, but should get it back to within 1mm of where it is now. Is there anyway I can adjust the toe a little to try and compensate, it won't be real tyre scrubbing stuff will it? Ryan
  8. My thoughts exactly! On the hunt tonight for a space to get her jacked up in reasonable comfort. Ryan
  9. To be honest, think I'll raise her a bit and try putting things back to original heights in a bit. Getting about just now, out weighs any damage or a £60 geometry setup again in spring time. Need somewhere dry to do now but! Sitting in the street with this snow is not very good.
  10. What actual effect will this have. If I lift by a few inch. In a dafty terms please. Ryan
  11. That'll be your job sir. Going for reverse inlet manifold, so all that will be plumbed in when my motors with you's. Taking it off did cross my mind, but can't take it off once its a functional part, so was trying to work around it by maybe lifting the suspension up a few inch???
  12. My wrx wagon is not slammed totally down, but sits pretty low. About a inch gap from top of tyre to whell arch. I'm wondering if raising my suspension a couple of inch, will affect my geometry much? If I measure the coilover height to start and once the snow is away, lower them back to the same heights as now. Will i still need another geometry setup or will it be okay? My car and tyres seem to be going rather well in this snow, but very nearly risking my front bumper being a plough. Not a good idea with a new fmic is tucked behind it! Worried I'll damage it. Thoughts and past experiences please. Ryan
  13. Ha ha. Well put. The guy in the Corsa with the front exit exhaust was a bit nipppy too, his front mount was definatly a front mount! That core looked cable tied on to the front bumper and plumbed in!
  14. Not a wasted journey at all. Least I know how to get there noo. Next time you're heading up hunting for a 10 second run, I'll be there. Enjoyed it. Fingers crossed everything gets sorted simply enough. I bags a seat beside you one time too....
  15. Do you think he 'stomps' on the accelerator with both feet???
  16. Yeah, hope Chris' car aint too bad. He did drive homewards, sensible mode on. Not as nuts a style as the drive up I may add!!! Hopefully he'll be along shortly to add details. Ryan
  17. Yeah, I seen a few of your runs. Great going likes. Kids seemed to enjoy it more than anyone though! Chris' motor did develop a wee problem, so his day ended sharper than wanted. Felt gutted for him, it was looking very good before hand. Ryan
  18. Hopefully the weather stays dry. Getting quite keen for Sunday to come noo. Hey, if Mr. Forrest is up for a few first time pointers, that would sway me to get on the strip for a try! Ha ha, I wish!

  20. Quite right, good idea Dunk. Least I wouldn't be the only first timer there! Don't think I'll be on the strip this time round though? Never know what will happen once I get there but!!
  21. Thanks for that info Chris. I'll hopefully head up for 10 o'clock. Find you and nip your heed for a bit! Just want to see your motor running and the noise etc. Catch you then...
  22. I might take a run up for a nose about also. What sort of time should I get up there for? Never been, how long a drive from the centre of Edinburgh roughly? Is there an entry fee or similar? Ryan
  23. Wee bit bad news. But as Arch said, the outcome could have been alot worse! Exellent that you got a low 11 with your firtst run and that you found it easy- if that's the right word to use? Hope you get the caliper problem sorted ok. Knowing whose hands it'll be in, I think it's sorted already basically.
  24. By the sound of things, there will be a parachute on the back of WL in due time!!
