  1. Was planning on giving you guys a shout Monday morning Barry. Didn't want to bother SW on a Sunday. I will more than likely nip out and see if I can knick a suitable replacement plug to get me up and running.
  2. I was driving home from work late last night. The Borders road home to Edinburgh was quiet and I couldn't resist the urge to stretch the cars legs a bit. But all was lived rather short because after the first few miles to warm things up properly I introduced some mild boost in 6th and after a few seconds boost dropped right off and the exhaust was sounding like it had just fell off! Turns out the small plug/bung that filled the hole where the sensor used to be in the headers is missing. Had a quick look in the dark with a torch, but couldn't see it laying on the road. So I nursed her the 30 odd miles home and got some funny looks when eventually in the town at juntions or pulling away a lights. That little hole makes a rather loud noise for it's size likes. The headers are the Gt Spec Gen. 2 tubular type, if that makes much difference. Where will I get another plug or has anyone got one kicking about spare? I ideally need one so I can drive to work this week. Cheers Ryan
  3. The above estimate is probably a realistic power figure. I had 312/330 on my wrx 2.0L with standard injectors. But with my current setup, I'm pushing the vf28 to it's max! Built scd 2.5, with supporting mods for over what the block will safely take. Going to run a sc46 shortly hopefully. But vf28 is pushing nearly 370bhp and over 440ft/lbs of torque just now all jumping into life at 3000 rpm. Running 1.6 odd bar of boost and 10% meth in there. She boosts like a turbo diesel, but with a lot more kick! Great on the road to be honest.
  4. A breakers should have something like that going cheap I'd imagine? Try some breakers, before the dealers. I would!
  5. I know what you're meaning. That would be a very nice and some how simple answer to 500 odd ponies! A good idea in my opinion. Get it done man..... Ryan
  6. Wee bit of topic man, but what clutch is in your motor? Pm me if you prefer. Ryan
  7. So your block is a semi-closed ej257? Thought it would have been. Same as the one I put in ma wagon?
  8. I'm sure that a guy over on 22b was recently in Jap Performance or a similar mag. Sure he's running a ej257 that's been pinned and running around 600bhp. Should be plenty reading on 22b maybe. Ryan
  9. Can you not get them pinned? I know people get the ej257 semi-closed decks pinned for extra strength. Not sure of the outs and ins personally, but I've read it somewhere. Ryan
  10. I'm getting my 6 speed box and other associated parts put in at the end of the month. So, hopefully that'll clear any neutral position switch issues? Ryan
  11. Thanks for that. I'lllook into it this weekend. Would this cause an ocassional pulsing/surging feeling a say 30mph in 3rd gear when cruising around town? Also, she idles ok, but if I try sitting her at anything above idle for fast idle at roughly 2k the revs start to hunt up and mainly down by a few hundred rpm? Bit like a slight mis-fire, but it isn't a mis-fire if that makes sense. Other than that, she drives fine on boost etc. Ryan
  12. Called ASP and ordered a full set of new bolts. 12 quid delivered 1st class recorded! Cheaper than I thought. Thanks fot that idea Arch. Sorted now I think? Thread should be over now? Thanks to everyone who replied. Ryan
  13. Will do. Thanks for the information Arch. I'll look up ASP's number tomorrow, get a price for a set of new bolts I thinks? Be quicker and more straight forward than trying to get them from this clown I've been dealing with.
  14. One of the threads on a front caliper look slightly flat compared to the rest, not totally stripped. Hopefully it should be okay when a bolt is run thorugh it, other than that a slighly bigger thread maybe? They're in decent condition other than that.
  15. The amazing 'proper Subaru garage owner' is going to get his mechanic to look out the bolts if he can? He says they normal don't go with the calipers, but go with the hubs if he sells they complete. Am I right in thinking that the bolts are useless with the hubs, as they only thread into the calipers themselves? Also are the rears not a tad smaller diameter than the front bolts? That last query comes from my memory of looking at them erlier this evening, might be my imagination but?

  17. Ha Ha, there's me thinking I could see light at the end of my Brembo tunnel! Text the guy asking about the mounting bolts. He replied that they weren't listed with bolts! So I replied with, they weren't listed with a nearly stripped mounting hole either. Never mind nearly a 7 week wait! I asked him if he was for real and how was I meant to mount them without their bolts? He'll have a look in the morning, dikc heed likes.
  18. Well, after paying for my goods on the 5th of April or something, I've finally got them! Gold Brembos and some other bits. All is okay, except he's not included the bolts to mount them on the hub. Are they the same size/thread as my standard 4 pots? Or where will I source some? This thread aint over yet lol!
  19. Parcel arrived at my parents! Can only hope its what I'm expecting? I'll post up my findings this evening.... Ryan
  20. I'd say "AYE" get it on. Looks good with the stripe man.
  21. All the stories of them being posted on Friday morning for me to have them on Saturday were made up stories. They never arrived today and I called the guy, who text me back. Said he would check things out with his Dad who posted them! Seems they were only posted via 48hr delivery. So my making plans to have someone in the house on Saturday for the delivery were a waste of time. I called the guy and asked why he couldn't have just told me they were using 48hr delivery and why tell me they had used next day? He brought his Dad into it again and said it was his fault. Then he said 'at least he went out his way to get them to me'! I had to give up at that point, I felt there was no good answer to that kind of mentality. So again..... await my delivery tomorrow, hopefully this is all over and done with LOL. Ryan
  22. More like a one of the 3 home address' av got for them.
  23. Na nowt today likes! But, tracking details say it's on route. Obviously they've posted it next day delivery on a Friday morning and been too tight to pay the extra 12 bucks for a Saturday delivery. Cost him £21, so £33 must have been too much! Monday will tell, might just be a few bricks in a box I get? Ha Ryan
  24. Yes. Got a tracking number yesterday evening, all seems to check out fine. Just waiting on the delivery today hopefully! Also got major apologise from the guy, his story is far fetched but sounds like it's true? Says if I need any other parts for my car, I've to call him and he'll give me massive discount LOL. Err, dinny hink I will bother though! Ryan
  25. wagonwheels- I will find out what is causing this in the near future. I'll let you know, may help your problem aswell? Ryan
