Welcome! Can't help with your local owners as i'm central area but i got my car from S&S so i would think there would be a few down your way! 5t.

Thanks for the heads up chap. Any idea how he's doing it? Nicking the keys or poor security on the car? 5t.

Good point on thanks actually. Being a recent member can't say i know you Ally but well done for the day too! (already thanked everyone else) Ari was great i thought. The tribute window decals some cars were sporting looked great too. Anyone know who is doing those? I assume they are donating to charity and it isn't that i don't trust random seller on ebay, its just that i don't trust random sellers on ebay! oh and up the blobeye wagons 5t.

Brilliant day and well worth the drive. Superb organisation too by the Police and in the town centre. View down the vally was spoiled slightly by some old boy in a caravan thhat took a while to realise he was in a convoy he shouldn't have been but eventually he cottened on and pulled over. Loads more Subarus there who might not have been club members too, seemed to bhe a lot parked in the wee retail park where the buses were picking up from. Thanks to Frank C for the black ribbon too! m.

If you go via Edinburgh bypass you can get off at Dreghorn and straight back on, Shell station but not a total rip off like a lot of services. Otherwise, yes Shell station at Echline Rbout just over bridge (don't follow A90) or if you do go straight down A90 there is a Shell on Seafield Road the back of Leith or in Musselburgh! 5t.

weirdly my day seemed much better after reading this! sorry chap at least it is nothing terminal though. 5t.

I had mine done there and again cost me around £350 with the SIDC discount. Probably gotr the screenwash charge too but every garage seems to do that one! They did wash the car though as it was filthy and took it on a saturday morning so i had no complaints. Independents were quoting the same price so it was a much better idea to get the official stamp in the book. 5t.

Think i really only spoke to Cusco Kid so didn't really get to meet that many people but a fair sight in the car park! didn't get to eat anything either, kept waiting for people to move indoors and no one did. Managed to get pulled on way to chippy at home too for driving a subaru. Forgot it was 1st thursday of the month and all the kids were at the Falkirk Wheel so there were police all over Falkirk. They let me go once they'd checked the reg against ANPR though, realised they didn't have a chav just a hungry sportscar driver! 5t.

I'm doing the remap and have a full scoobyworld system, including centre section and cat pipe on the way. Also going to get a Y pipe for the turbo and then that's it for power mods, i need a reliable car! I was going to get all the whiteline stuff off Cusco Kid and i still will do, it just costs exactly the same as the remap and i'd rather put up with some body roll than blow the engine. Andy told me to keep the car off boost until he's mapped it if the cat pipe is fitted so i'm not having that fitted until the day before it is mapped as i don't want to risk any damage! 5t.

If you aren't an SIDC member sign up now. @ £35 you'll save £40 off the price as they do 10% off parts and labour so it will pay for itself immediately! 5t.

from andy's site: A custom remap (also known as Tek3) has a RRP of £650. Volume discounts are available on this price and a typical 'group buy' price is £460 - £500 depending on the number of cars booked in. Phone or email for details of the latest offers available. The above price is for the initial custom mapping which includes the licencing fee for the ECU. Subsequent mapping of a licenced ECU is £200 if it my own base map or £350 if starting with another tuners base map. Mapping is also available throughout the UK and Europe at an additional cost of £200 for the 1st day. 2-3 Cars can be mapped per day, splitting the cost. Any 'group buys' will attract further discounts and travelling costs of £80 per subsequent day. Typically splitting the travelling cost down to only £56 each car if there are 5cars being mapped over 2 days I think the price you have is because everyone does it as a group buy! He's giving us the lowest price though. Not bad for the man said to be the best in the UK. 5t.

Another vote here. which service is it? I just had cambelt done there and with discount it was the same price as many "cheaper specialists" with the bonus of getting the book stamped. Next one is all the plugs and things though, i don't want to ask what that might cost! 5t.

I'm meant to be bagging an exhaust. Once that's happened i'll give Andy a shout. 5t.
-
In! should have read the note about passwords though. Typical bloke, ignore the instructions! 5t.
-
I know he says 460 to 500 instead of 650 on the website so chance to get a fair amount off. I think he can only do two or three a day though because it takes so long so we'll need to check best times/locations with him. 5t.
-
Might be up for that. Hoping to get an exhaust and filter in the near future so a map would help make the most of it. I know he has published discounts for groups on his website... 5t.

Seen the missle stuff that's on board, just needs more pointy sharp bits! I think it was Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy... "The designer had been clearly told not to beat about the bush: 'Make it evil', he'd been told, 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for him. If it means sticking blackened bits of metal or prongs all over it, then so be it. This is not a gun for sticking in an umbrella stand, it's a gun for going out and making people miserable with'" Ra! [H]

I always think the title "destroyer" should mean a ship bristling with big guns rather than traffic cones! Looks like a big recon vessel really. Good pic though! 5t
-
Much appreciated guys. Someone saw this post and offered me a Nur Spec through Scoobynet. Looks good actually although i'm sure that is a very loud exhaust. Has a full system for sale though so could be a bargain. Probably see if i can get a listen to yours too Gus if that is ok. Thanks for the vids Cal. Am thinking of a very similar set up to Boris i believe. Sure it was a wagon owner at an SIDC meet that said wagons struggle with the noise as the rear bulkhead isn't there to keep it in! 5t.
-
Thanks Gus! 5t
-
[Y] cheers. replace the downpipe seems to be the way to go looking at that. Not after anything like 300bhp, just a bit more go, some nice noise and a bit more midrange. Do a lot of motorway miles so reliability/useablity are key. Hence the need for a exhaust with a nice rasp when pushing on but relative silence at other times! 5t.

That keeping the cats tazman? Gus, feel free to PM me a price. Would need it fitting though! 5t.
