stick one on friday afternoon and get a special sensor which would be you and a pot of coffee and wait for the wee neds. Tried it with one of our cars once but my dad saw them at it. We have a wall by the side of the house which has fir trees along it so they never saw him coming as he lept through the trees and put the kid across the bonnet. Never had anymore trouble after that. 5t.

The scratch doesn't look like grit i'm afraid. looks like an attack of jealousy by a ned or two! I've got a majot collection of chips on my bonnet though thanks to a gritter. Leaving it alone as the car has had doors opened on it in car parks, people push past it and been hit by a branch. Wouldn't mind but it was pristine, i've only had it 3 months and it is turning into a shed! 5t.

read the mag already, very good quality item. Also got two stickers with it, one for inside the glass and one exterior sticker. Is that normal? i'd prefer two interior ones so i can have both side of the car the same (wagon) failing that is there a recommended place for these? Anyone actually put them in or not? cheers, 5t.

Mine was tesco by far £620 for 03 WRX wagon kept on the drive too and used for commuting. Did need a tracker though. The next nearest was Keith Micheals at £700 but they wouldn't cover my no claims bonus as i had just had a smash. Its too important not to have it so i got the tracker. Next year we'll see how we go as tracker might bring some of the others down a bit.

On joining where can i expect to make a saving on thing like servicing? the next service will be the 50k cambelt one which i believe comes in at around £350 Any chance of getting money off that? (i was expecting 60k when i bought the car so cost coming up faster than expected) Also,local specialists. I heard mention of Hyperformance/ Hyper Performance in Bonnybridge? Re: gearbox i haven't driven a manual car for a while (tiptronic FTO followed by Auto Supra) and i have to say it does feel a bit notchy and does not like first unless you are almost standing still. This normal? Car pulls fine and seems to have been well treated. Also the body inspections - are they known to rust? All i can see so far is that World Rally Blue seems to be a very soft/thin paint going on how quickly and easily carpark monkeys are scratching it!

scoobyiain is right, this is an insurance job anyway so if you have AA or RAC cover get them to recover it to place of safety. Your insurance will pick up the tab. Copper told me that can work best too. If it is at your house or free storage then the insurance company can take ages to send out an assessor. In storage at £25 a day things happen a lot quicker! m.

Just a point Chipsaway is a franchise so service levels and quality will be down to how good your local rep is. One in edinburgh (for example i have no idea) might be rubbish but the glasgow one might be brilliant. The guy who does the falkirk area sounds good. i spoke to him but didn't use him. Chipsaway are going to do minor dent removal soon but this guy hadn't got the kit so he called to say he couldn't take the work and recommended a few companies that might. Fair do i thought. 5t.
