Agree mate, the impreza's made a serious impact on the motoring industry and it's one of those cars that most car daft boys and girls have thought, "one day I'm having myself one of those". Its kind of the affordable pinnacle of performance cars (well, one of a few). Subaru know this and are eeking it out which is fair enough, but I'm a believer in evolution. How long do you think subaru would last if they didn't keep pushing the envelope, they would be dead in the water within 5 ~ 10 years. Suppose it's only natural that they take advantage of their meal ticket which is the 'badge'. Craig.

Compared to alot of you lads I'm pretty wet behind the ears with the subaru model history. But I have noticed one thing when it comes to any drastic change to the impreza shape. When the transition happened between classic and bug mostly everyone hated it ?! Then the blob came along, this was probably seen as a revolation due to improving the front end ? Now I wonder if most folk would still love the blobs as much if they came out right after the classics There's bound to be a wee tweak of this latest incarnation later down the line and by that point everyone will have adapted to this shape and then say "yeah much better I'm away to order mine now". I do agree that the wrx looks pretty pash but that wee sti picture from 4hero looks pretty good imo, and is achieveable which is the main thing. It's all about just getting used to new things eh ? Other than the classics, all newager impreza's are ugly swines, but with some basic styling add on's they can look good; this versions no different. Give i time lads you'll all love it in the end Philosophical mode off Craig.

Cheers Iain, It's no that big a deal I'll just put up with it till it breaks Craig.

Just noticed this today, when I switch the intermittant wipers on the slowest setting this small buzz happens. When I turn the speed collar to the quicker settings they reduce the time that the buzz lasts. I take it's just the contactor for the most common setting (the slowest) has worn more causing this wee noise ?? Has anyone come across a quick fix that doesn't involve replacing the whole stalk ?? Craig.

Welcome mate Think HT Autos do them aswell. Craig.

Feel for you buddy, pretty much worst case scenario there. It's bad enough going to all the bother and cost for a 'tuning' day and for it all to go to pot 5 mins into it. Suppose it can only get better

Don't suppose anyone can confirm this, nae point in spraying it on only to cause problems aye. Cheers for the response so far lads

Got myself the cleaner and spray oil for the air filter at the weekend, going to tackle it tonight. Is there any wee hints or tips to clean the filter thoroughly? Remember seeing a post where someone used a shallow tin of some kind to soak the filter in ?? Probably havering but you never know Cheers abody Craig.

Must have been after 9pm Fri night at the bank on Ward Road in Dundee, car was looking mint mate - definitely liking the spoilerless look Craig.

Can't see past the prodrive springs and geo myself. They're very forgiving when you unexpectedly come across some crappy road surfaces and yet when pushing them they firm the ride up, increasing the confidence through the corners - still saving for my whiteline treatment tho just to finish off the handling, will be contacting cusco kid myself - top bloke Craig.

Just a wee heads up when it comes to your insurance renewal. Mine came through about a month before it was meant to renew (Direct Line). Remember it being in the region of £640 fc. So, bored at work and out of interest did the online quote thing again - £420. But this didn't include any mods, so thought to myself, there surely cannae be that much o a difference by adding a 'few' addie on's ?? Phoned them once I got home and the lady proceeded to tell me that my renewal on record was £758.... The difference was due to DL not giving you the 0% interest on your monthly payments after your first year with them (they dinnae tell you that in the advert!!) ?? So, I said just run me a new qoute please and after the mundane task of explaining every little detail of what has been done to the car.......£509 RESULT !! Just goes to show it's always worth another wee check Craig.

You could try contacting Cuso Kid on here (george), he deals with fancy wheels on a daily basis. Craig.

Don't know about where to get the bulbs but you can change them without removing the headlight, have done it myself. If you've got big gorilla hands you might struggle tho' Craig.

Cheers stephen, saw those companies aswell just minutes ago. They know how to charge eh !!! Suppose at least when you deal with american companies you get charged a reasonable price. I'm sure APR are only £250ish for the plastic ones [8-)] - but that's not including shipping tho. Craig.
-
Frank, Cheers mate, i'll drop him a pm. Craig.

Hi All, Does anyone happen to know if there's an alternative company out there that can make / supply this type of diffuser. Not a big fan of dealing with oversea's companies ?? http://www.aprperformance.com/index.php?op...1&Itemid=44 Craig.

Al, Appreciate the input mate, was kind of looking for something off the shelf, ideally from the uk [*-)]. Have come across this : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-OPEL-HAND-H...1QQcmdZViewItem Has anyone had any experience with this reader ? Craig.
-
Does anyone know of a fault code reader that works for newage impreza's ? Would certainly be a handy bit of kit [] Craig.
-
It definitely seems that there's no right or wrong answer here, as alot of folks say 'each to their own'. Think i'll just have to have a wee tweak, then go for a blast [] Craig.
