What was everyone's first serious batch of mods ???
craig79 replied to craig79's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Cheers lads, had a wee look over Andy's website (again) If I'm right my car has 380cc injectors at the mo ? Both these and my std TMIC should be able to cope with low to mid 300 figures ? I'm not looking for a daft increase in power from the car - just a modest setup. Always amazes me what can be achieved with relatively easy 'bolt - ons'. Think one of these hybrid T04 turbos is a must tho - suppose I'd better get saving again[] Craig. -
Craig, Read page 2 of this post mate, should give you all the pricing info you need. As for what to do, phone or email Andy directly asking him for the date you have in mind and he'll be able to tell you if he has a time slot on that day. All you need to tell him is that your part of the group mapping organised through SIDC - simple as that[] Craig.

Have been reading techy posts on here for a good few months now - trying to take in all the tips I can. Still a wee bit unsure about something. I've done a few things to my car, engine / handling wise and was wondering what the next logical step would be? Whats on : P/drive springs / geometry H&S De-catted exhaust (high flow d/pipe for MOT's) Walbro fuel pump Green panel filter Andy F. remap. I'm not saying I must increase the power of the car ASAP - lovin' the car how it is at the mo but just so I know what to aim for in the future. Have picked up on maybe a TD04H turbo upgrade and bigger injectors ?? Brakes and drop links in particular will be changed aswell before anything else. Sorry for the essay. Craig.

Rich, Glad all was good for you mate, just back misel, over the moon with the difference, car feels so much more responsive. Cant recommend Andy highly enough - top bloke[Y] Bring on the B roads!!! lol.
-
Rich, So in terms of approx % increase what you rekon your cars been up-ed by - roughly ofcourse. Glad to hear everything went well[] Craig.
-
How did you do your lettering ?? I used a smooth spongy thing, didn't come out as neat as that though - well done mate[]
-
swanie, Feel free mate it's open to anyone - more the better, bloody hell at this rate Andy will be paying us lol[] Craig.
-
Craig, I had almost the same fitted to my car back in Sept. About a couple of months down the line my engine management light came on, got it checked, it was an emissions warning. Was told it was due to the high flow d/pipe. It came on again about a month ago canceled the error again at Subaru, basically nothing to worry about my car runs fine. But would say the remapping is a must for safety sake. Craig.

Well done people, looks like we'll be making the 8% discount if this keeps up !!![] Craig.
-
It works out to be about £550.00 give or take a few quid. We've got the 5 people to qualify for the discount - maybe a couple more in march. Andy say's he'll keep the reduction open until the end of March so just contact him direct and get your name down mate[] Don't think there's a limit to how many can book so long as its done between now and the end of March. Craig.

All you've got to do is book your car in mate. Just say you're part of the group mapping through SIDC. Craig.

Gazzer4, When I first got my car It was recommended that I fit a 255 Walbro fuel pump, Green panel filter, H&S high flow d/pipe with de-catted front pipe and a better flowing silencer (i've got an STI one). Think all in for bits I was £450ish. What kind of car you got mate - from Dundee misel might have seen you about ?? Craig.
-
Kinghorn, Go to page 2 of this post for the pricing[] Craig

Just got this email from Andy this morning : "Hi Craig How about if I hold it open until the end of March ? No need for a deposit in advance for the 5% discount as I'm sure there will be 5 out of the 7 that go ahead. regards Andy" St3ph3n, take it this helps you out mate. You could always phone / email to book your date so you know where you stand, looks like you'll get the discount[]. Craig.

I'm with Direct Line, phoned last night to list the mods both performance and cosmetic. 27, 6Yrs ncd, driveway, tracker - £670 but a £700 excess. Just have to be careful eh[]
-
Steve, It would be a question of you contacting Andy and booking the car in for a date that is available. You would just have to say that you're part of the group mapping organised by Craig Anderson through SIDC. I'm phoning him this afternoon to find out how long the discount can run for. Be posting the details up later on. Craig.

St3ph3n, Can't see why it would be a problem to be involved in the GB if you payed a deposit mate. At least Andy will know that your definitely gonna go over. I'll phone Andy tomorrow and tell him we have a guaranteed 5 possibly 6, and ask how long he will leave the discount open for ?? I'll post the details up tomorrow if I get thru to him. I'm at work the now but if you've a spare minute yourself give him a wee bell / email explaining, I'm sure he'll tell you one way or another. Craig.
