  5. Duncan, Have seen these tyres mentioned quite a few times before, I take it they are a pretty popular brand, you rekon they would tick the boxes for me ?? Out o curiosity would you agree that I'd be looking at approx. £100 per corner for the toyo's ?? Craig.
  6. Yeah sorry Del meant to say it's a newage I've got. I take it you've got a classic for 225's to rub ?? Thanks for the reponse mate. Craig.
  7. To all that showed interest in the group mapping idea, I've sent you PM's with details so far. To anyone that hasn't caught what I've been arranging; I have my car booked with Andy F. on 01/02/07 and anyone is welcome to join the group deal that is in place. Please contact me and I'll add your name to the list. Craig.
  8. Alright everyone, I know this post is probably ancient but I'm looking at another set of alloys and subsequently a decision on tyre brand has to be made. My driving profile doesn't include track use at all only fast road at best. So is there a general tyre of choice with everyone ?? Also what is the correct width of tyre to go for to maintain a good geometry setup (18") ?? Cheers all.
  9. Thanks Gus appreciate it, yeah still on the hunt so will keep the lug to the ground[]
  10. Cheers Gus but I'm gonna have to stick with the prodrives for a while, no had them on that long. To be honest I'd gladly lose a bit o' height for the ride quality that the p/d's give - they're a very good compromise. Neil - sorry mate didn't know that was your motor, very nice[H] Is yours a WRX ?? Very nice to see an alternative to the STI look. Thanks again for the the come back lads[]
  11. Thanks alot lads thats great. Both give a good impression[] 4Hero - you know if thats a 25 drop looks a wee bit lower than mine, would be great if my car looked similar[] Thanks again, Craig.
  12. Mornin' everyone, got a bit of a tall order but here goes : Choking to get 18's for the car but having a bit of a visualisation problem. Has anyone got an '03 wrx, WR Blue, sitting on prodrive springs (or 25 drop) with 18" anthracite tarmac 2's - aaaannnnd inhail[]. Seen Gus The Bus' car and really can't decide between the two colours white / grey (top motor matey) [*-)] Thanks everyone.
  13. Welcome buddy, all the best with the motor.
  14. Gus, if you don't mind me asking what suspension is you're car sitting on, lovin' the way it's sits at the mo. I've got prodrive springs, would be very happy if mine sat similar with 18" really no liking the stock 17's[:'(]. Can't believe the prices you got it just gets better an better[]
  15. Easy tiger lol!!! It's just soul destroyin' to spend all that bloody time and the swine is barkit before your oot the street - never mind [] Believe me the car gets 'used' just cannae stick a manky motor!!!
  16. PMSL, know what you mean lads. When I've just washed the motor I try and avoid 'dirty' roads or the dual-er in particular - forever hoping to prolong that 'gleam' Never lasts long tho'!!! I don't let it get me down just remind misel it's the only exercise i get !!!
  17. Cheers Gus, thought the white ones looked familiar. Oot o interest do you regret gettin' the white ones trying to keep them clean all the time. Really fancy white misel but all that graft !!!! £420 cannae be sore - ooooo the credit cards callin' lol lol.
  18. Has anyone dealt with this company before - just thinking in terms of product and customer service quality, it's a pretty great price me is thinking. Would this offset be the correct offset for my '03 wrx ?? Cheers all, Craig. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-Alloy-wheels-Suba...=item8061443835
  19. LOL cheers mate
  20. Was in Eden subaru today and spotted this P1. Very nice motor seemed a pretty genuine example. It's the first P1 I've seen up close, must say it looks razor sharp in comparison to my car. I take it the price tag is in the ball park ??? Craig. http://www.allapprovedcars.com/Used-Subaru...CarDetails.aspx
  21. Hi everyone, re. the block mapping post I put up a wee while ago I was sent this email from Andy today : " Hi Craig Sorry for the late reply, I have been away for 10 days. My group buy costs are as per below. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To remap an existing Power FC is £280+v Ecutek custom remap for MY99- MY06 is £500+v A remap of one of my previous Apexi/Ecutek maps is £200+v To supply, fit and map an Apexi PFC and Comm is £795+v Travelling would be £200 for day 1 and £80 each subsequent day, I can map 2 cars per travelling day and 3 on a non travelling day ie the middle day of a 3 day trip ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- With the exception of the travel costs, I could offer 5% off the above figures if you book 5 cars and 8% if you book 10 cars although I would need £100 deposits on booking to secure the 8% discount level. regards Andy " Suppose the costs speak for themselves. I'll wait untill the start of January, post up to get a definative number and take it from there. Best waiting until after new year eh, gives everyone a chance to know where they are financially - with crimbo looming 'n' all that. Craig.
