  1. A brickman is the next thing on my list. subaru paint is quite thin compared to most cars but it is tough so you dont take much off with the pc.
  2. sorry no pics of swirl marks as it was very dull yest and white is not the easiest colour to photograph. I used menzerna final finish on a megs polishing pad with the pc
  3. What's R3's? Yes it was machine polished and taped up as always.
  4. Steve's type r was the car for cleaning this week and what a job it was. White/silver is not my favourite colours to detail and this one was a pain in the ***. Numerous laps round knockhill has done this cars paint no favours (or my arms). First was obviously the wash which got some of the dirt off it then came the claybar. 5 hours later and i was finished...... not the whole detail but just claying it this is the last car i detail that has been round knockhill as the amount of tar/rubber that was stuck to the bodywork was unbelievable. 3.5 hours was spent claying most of the car and the other 1.5 hours was getting the bugs off the front bumper. After all that i was pretty exhausted but soldiered on and got most of the car finished. The onlt thing left needed to be done is to put a coat of wax on the front bumper, bonnet, front wings and doors but will go and do that another time. Here is some before and after pics of what has been finished, enjoy 50/50 wash afters
  5. his attidute should not change just because you are buying a car.
  6. went there to look at a couple when i was first looking to buy a subaru and did not like him one bit. Never went out of his way to sell me a car or tell me anything about them. Went upto sunnyhill after leaving downies and bought my sti. Raymond is a top bloke.
  7. Just recieved my copy thru the post this morning and had a quick flick to find myself on a 2 page spread. Wooo Hoooo, i've always wanted one of my cars in a mag. Some other sidc members in it from the fast and modified day too. Not going to spoil it for them by saying who, find out for yourselves. Just glancing at the mag quickly as i'm just up but it looks to be a good quality and well put together piece of reading. Well done to those at the magazine for putting it together.

  17. Nice job mate but can i just say auto jim only hides the scratches and swirls it does not get rid of them. It contains fillers and not much cutting agents so you will slowly start to see them appearing again.
  18. I know someone who had her car stolen when she was in work. What the person done was follow her when walking her dog, waited for her to go back home and sneak into the house when she was in the shower to take the keys. When she got out the shower and was ready for work she just thought she had mis-placed her keys and grabbed the spare set. The guy then followed her to her work and then took the car. Poor girl never knew her car was stolen for the 8 hours she was in work.
  19. oops mis-read your post. Thought you had just bought a subaru 2 years to become a full member, it took me 2 weeks

  23. Hello and welcome, maybe see you going around.
  24. Looks like it will be town and county in abz for me then
  25. You need to think about what other changes you might want in the future because as cal has said there is no point in getting multiple re-maps over a year or so. Best keeping it the way you have it and once you have bought all the mods you want get them put on then go for a re-map. I wanted a re-map too when i got a cat back system but andy said it's would not be worth it.
