  1. That would have been mine on my first run. The circle clip under the shifters ball socket decided to snap off allowing the shifter to come out of its ball joint when i went into 3rd gear so I had to abort the run, coast to the end and get a tow back to the car park. still managed that in a 14.7 at 85 mph which was quicker than a lot of other stuff there. Managed to put it back together so it works but its going to be quite loose till i replace that clip. Hell of a way to remember your first ever 1/4 mile but it shall be fixed and I shall return one day.
  2. In that particular encounter I believe it was Jim although Peter put in the fastest time of the day I believe. And yes I d know who I am... just wish I didnt lol

  16. yet another fine reason that classics are better. road tax is cheeper. sucks for those in band g though. that is a joke when you consider what the insurance and fuel is on top. 300£ is one thing but to go to 400 in another year is a disgrace.
  17. hey grant, there is a plugin for firefox called videodownloaded which lets you download the java embedded video files to your computer from many websites.
  18. peter work your magic mate. if used looks ok then i need the pennies right now.

  20. So the message so far is sooner rather than later. i had a sinking feeling it would be one of those parts you do in pairs. any idea what this is going to cost for just standard replacements as im skint right now.
  21. Ok so I have just been advised by S&S while the car is in for a service, gear box repair and rear pads and disks that the rear shock absorber also has a slight leak. Anyone mid telling me what this actually means regarding performance, safety etc? Not a good time right now for me to fork out the cash to repair it. Also would leaving it a month or two result in more repairs being needed?
  22. He may be but some of us are well on there way to drowing there sorrows... hic When you read this Blue Dragon my congrats to you. At least it wasn't the old firm that won it. Oh and 5-1 wasn't a true reflection of the game Gus. Was a very close first half but stupid mistakes at the end of the second gift wraped the 4th and 5th goal for them.
  23. I now almost with I had chose to go on the run instead of going to hampden... however I will support Killie till I die (which judging from the weather wouldn't have taken long in the highlands) Fair play to the hibs. you were better although 5-1 was a bit flatering. The one saving grace is that it will annoy Hearts fans. (yes I am trying to hide tears behind jokes)
  24. Was a strange day for football. I didn't expect any of the 3 scores. I wanted dons to win (natural hatred of old firm) but i thought hearts would eat dundee uts and caley would wipe out the pars. oh well tomorrow will be better If my day turns out as good as it will be for those of you on the highland run I'll be fine. It will have its highs and lows and those times when your right on the edge of your seat but after 90 minutes I'm sure the Killie boys will be victorious over the Hibes. Common Killie!!!!
  25. they arn't as much fun as they look. you need to get the wheel balanced properly as they are mounted inside the tyre. also they may be good for detecting slow punctures and a quick check of the preassure but if you get a blow out then you will crush the sensor inside the tyre and rim which means your fancy equipment is now useless.
