  1. When I got my car brand new (MY06 WRX), still in the wrapper, it had 215/17/45 tyres on it. 225s on it now though. So offset is changed using spacers, yes? I thought the idea of that ws to make the wheel fit over bigger brakes. I'd have though machining wheels to bring them in closer to the hub s it where, would be a trifle dodgy! Making the wheel thinner might not be a great idea, especially when they are under load. Of course, I might be getting the wrongend of the stick - or wheel!
  2. I had 215/45/17 on my car from new. However, my 17" track wheels (04 STi) are 225/45 and my 18s are 225/40. I guess that means you can mix and match. I dunno what offset means though, someone care to explain?
  3. I like that a lot. White Scoobs really do rock. The body styling, wheels and spolier really do make it stand out. I also like the rear lights too, I'd keep 'em
  4. Wow, that looks wicked!
  5. Take it back mate, it might have been something the service centre did, like bugger up a coil pack or something. No need to run off to AF just yet. Get the prob sorted first.
  6. Oh well that's good; cant have your bumper getting melted in the meantime.
  7. Yeah, he does a great job - done mine twice - looking brill!
  8. I could be wrong, but I think he is running the PPG straight-cut kit with PPG steel forks.
  9. Sheesh! What's the reason for an external pump and what does the swirl pot do? Keep up the good work!
  10. Might sound a bit radical, but what about bending the hangers up a bit. I dunno if its feasible, but its the sort of stupid thing I'd try.
  11. Agreed. Though, I would change the rims to something a little less standard and a little more in keeping with the desirable nature of such a car, then with the suspension goodies and lowering it will look mega!
  12. Look forward to your write-up on return. Iraq??? Take care
  13. Wheels look great, splitter looks even better and all together; a fantasic machine BIG from me!!!!
  14. Horiffic - sure puts things into a little more perspective.
  15. What a shocker!!!! Sorry to see such a stunning car in such a mess, no wonder your gutted man. I spose all you can do is look on the bright side in that you're safe and well - hope everything gets sorted out for you with the insurance and all. Keep us posted mate.
  16. Great job and nice car!
  17. Like this (MINUS the spaces) [ img ]http:\\your-picture-URL.whatever\pic-name.jpg[ /img ] Just remember not to leave spaces.
  18. I will in time, but funds do not permit at present just looking for ever little bit that might help in the meantime.
  19. Aye, I spose... but my oil temps, according to my gauge is running at near to 100 degrees. I know that oil and water temps are not the same thing obviously, but I was thinking that if I can get the temps down in another way, it might help overall - I dunno. I stand to be corrected and educated.
  20. Just bear in mind that HDD camcorders won't work when attached to the mount in car or out. I had two and the shock caused them to cut out. It's a choice between old-fashioned tape or the much more versitile and easy to use solid-state jobs. My camera was £400 but I'm sure it will be a good bit chepear than that now. It's the Samsung VP HXM10.
  21. Well, I stand corrected. Giving that this band is playing in York, therefore England; my question is: Why are English people playing bagpipes? That comes as a bit of a surprise. Not saying that they are not allowed to, just seems odd.
