you have probably been one of the unluckiest guys i know with a subaru Col
Ahem!
-
It hasn't been fitted with an induction kit and I'm not sure whether an aftermarket dump valve has been fitted. It does give off a quite noticeable (and rather appealing) whooshing sound between gear changes, but not quite the sharp 'pssssssst' I would have expected to hear from a non-OEM dump valve.
How would I know if an atmospheric DV has been fitted? How does it differ in appearance from the standard 'recirculation valve'? (if that's the correct term - my experience fiddling around with turbo'd motors is practically nil).
Cheers.
Take a pic of the DV and post it up and ask someone else with a similiar car if its the same as theirs

The main difference is the spool up of the 20G will be about 500 - 700 rpm later than the VF's.
Knew it!

doesnt affect your no claims though mate. Would it not be much cheaper
That's what I was thinking...

Hi guys/gals looking for some advice on turbo upgrade ,i am looking to up the power of my car wrx UK300.What i am going to do is STI topmount /STI
pink injectors walbro fuel pump 255/pl and turbo / sports cat downpipe ( car has tubular manifold decat)with any other support mods needed ,question
is which turbo TD05 20G/IHI VF34 /IHI VF35
power from 300bhp -350bhp all advice welcome so thanks in advance
cheers kenny
Dunno much about the 20G so can't comment but you will defo get what you are after with either the 34 or 35. AFAIK, the 20G takes a bit longer to spool up whereas the other options come online a bit quicker.

Looks like a fantastic day out... well done guys
Yes indeed!
-
If you are getting it cheap you should take it. It may not add any performance but will add protection and will be a mod in place for when you decide to increase your power.
Yeah! What he says
-
Hi, no real point unless your planning on other mods and mapping for it.
Yup, won't make any difference, mapped or otherwise. The IC is a support mod not a performance mod

Hi All
Any ideas guys??? Thinking £14k is a tad steep for an 03 model, what do you think is a reasonable offer to make?
Cheers
Gary
hmmm, dunno. I spose it has lowish miles for its again and its a Spec C, so maybe...

Wow! Its like a whole new car! Nice one
-
nice car and wheels m8
kenny
just needs lowered. Also think your car would look good minus the spoiler

Fantastic
If only it wasn't so far to travel... I take it its in Aberdeen, right?
-
That car is lush....
absolutly stunning.

Huh. Cost me about £10.00 to fill my tank today.
Don't rub it in!!!! It cost me £60 to fill mine... Oh no, this is giving me those "I want to sell it" thoughts - DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!
-
Very nice, lots of fun to drive I'm sure
-
Some nice touches to make a stunning car even more stunninger!
EDIT: I thoguht those might look nice on my car, so I clicked your link to investigate. At £45+VAT per fin (which lets face it, is no more than a little bit of plastic) I think I'll give that a miss and spend the £200 on something else!

Thanks! Glad I'm not going nuts. I spotted another black one a couple of days ago (might have been the same one), but I can't remember where.

John, there was sound on mine but when i loaded it to u tube it had dissapeared, it was my first try and i should get some proper media suite to edit things, am still learning though so hopefully next time it will flow a lot better.
It is agood setup on the camera and mount and the camera is the size of a i phone so very handy. wil try and actually add music next time.
Mac
Premier Elements is good for the money mate. Has tons of features and pretty easy to use for the basic stuff. Also has a "straight to YouTube" option. Once you select it, it renders your video and uploads it

The PPG kit along cost about 3K and thats before you get somone to fit it. Seems like such a heavy expense unless your running big power and tracking the car. I'm hoping to go for a 6-speeder at some point.
-
Looking good Mac, seems like a decent quality set up for not too much mula. The second vid didn't have any sound for me though. Is there sound on it? I'll try it again later when I get home, maybe it was just a technical glitch.
-
doesn't look british.
That's what I thought too, maybe its because the sun is shinning in the pic, ha! Only thing I'm not sure about is those extra vents on the bonnet, and of course it could be doing with some lowering springs. I like it! I wonder what the specs are... So?

Very nice! Whose is that?

Note the fitment of a V Band at this section.
I'm going to be running a fully unsilenced system for track/strip ...
Don't forget there are noise restrictions at KH now
