before i splash out nearly 400 quid on tyres and more on an alloy wheel refurbishment i am looking at possibly buying a second hand set of alloys with nearly new tyres. most of the ones for sale are in excellent condition and are reasonably priced, though are mainly down south so postage would be added. courier web sites ask for weight of package so need to know weight of an alloy wheel with tyre or does anyone know the postage costs from south wales or north london to glasgow. nearly forgot, 54 plate sti wheels, 10 spoke 17" i think. cheers mark

Stephen, Did you fit the extra load ones or normal ones? I maybe go the few quid extra for the XL goodyears, but not sure if it will make any difference[8-)]

Not had a chance to get them yet as working too many hours[] Will be getting them in the next 2 weeks, maybe by that time stephen will have had time to test the goodyears! Best price seems to be 90 quid a corner fitted.

Just had a look at mytyres.co.uk and there is 2 types of Goodyear F1's. the ones at £81.60 have the reference of 91Y, BSW,VSB and the ones at £91.30 have reference 94W XL BSB,VSB. What is the difference??

Need 4 new tyres soon and looking at previous theards the goodyears and toyos seem to be the 2 best types to go for. I had the stock bridgestone RE70's on and they are not so good in the wet and only got 8000mls out of the front ones. Out of the goodyears and toyos what will be the expected milage and there seems to be 2 different types of goodyear f1's also T1-r and T1-s. What ones suit the my STI and any recommendations of reasonable fitting places in the central region. So far been quoted £103 a corner for goodyear F1's (225x45x17)

Do you want the bad news? I also used to owm a nokia 6230i until my son decided to go out of his depth in the pool on holiday last month. Needless to say i jumped in and pulled him out and yes my 6230i was in my pocket. So right away i striped it down and dryed it with a hairdryer also left for a couple of days and it is F@cked My insurance was cancelled 3 weeks before incident[:$] Carphone warehouse said it was not even worth looking at as submerged in water = F@cked!
