  1. Used the car to drive to work today, whilst carefully sitting at 70mph on M9, noticed the oil pressure guage jumping back and forward between 6 and 8 bar then flickering up to the 10bar. as it was jumping back and forth i am assuming that there is a fault with the guage or sensor ( hopefully) any thoughts[*-)]

Thanks to Jim for 10,000 stone chips, everyone was worth it!! Did'nt get a scoob to drive slow! Well done to guy in the S3 for keeping up with us, not sure if his brakes were up to it, as i am sure he thought as braking hard behind me. Mark Jnr had a great day especially playing in the snow, his pals will never believe him, he also has 3 full sets of V Power cards already. [Y][H][]

  12. Not sure if iam right , but new cars from october 2004 (54 plate) / STI9, which has 10 spoke alloys and wider body trim on rear wheel arches then it will have DCCD as standard. Anyway most people with DCCD leave it on auto, so not sure if it is a huge advantage[8-)]
  13. marky.t.s. Agree with you there m8, sounds amazing when you pass through that part of the carpark, but remember and slow down quickly coz there is a well dodgy speed bump at the bottom of the ramp[] mark
  14. Hi colzo, Take it you are chef in the coachman, if so you will need to sort me out with a sidc 10% discount[]
  15. not much about cars, but still laughing, never fails to make you laugh[]
  16. A good body shop repairer is a guy called Billy Hutton, from milton of campsie, it is a father & son business and billy does an excellent job, resprayed my sti front end to get rid of stone chips for 500 quid, including taking bonnet and bumper back to primer. Result was 1st class. He is a bit busy and you don't get the luxury of a courtsy car but great value.
  17. Couple of things. I only spotted this post the now, i initially thought it was maybe another "Oh look what this idiot has done to his car" thread. If anyone wants me i can be contacted via the PM channel as my psychic abilities seemedto have failed me this time. My knowledge of the Subaru marquee is limited to the early classics, the model which i have owned in particuler and similer types that interest me IE the JDM ones. I have never owned a New Age version of the Impreza so i would have been as much use as a fart in a wetsuit regarding advise on what to look for, i enjoy reading and learning about the New Age. but have never had any first hand experience of running, repairing or driving a New Age car. So when it comes to the New Age Impreza i let the people who have first hand experiance of the cars explain how they find the repairing, running costs and day to day life with the car so i can sit in the corner and play with my plastercine. If i could have helped i would have but as stated before i never knew someone needed advice regarding a local purchase. Remember all you need for the swoosh is a Soda Stream fitted on the dash. Just the same noise as a VTA but without the risk of thinning your oil and picking up a big end bearing. "Maybe Squirrell can go along with his vast knowledge of the marque, always eager to help the fellow enthusiast", why is my Sarky-o-meter shooting off the scale .........I have always went out my way to help fellow enthusiasts being the nice guy that i am Take the rest of the day off mate, you have earned it Peace Calm down guys[] The car seemed okay, clean example, modded with good quality parts and no strange noises when driving other than the usual sqeekes, pick the car up tomorrow and will take it to dunc at hypertech for a thourough check. cheers, mark
  18. recognised the picts straight away, cumbernauld town centre. that car park and ramp has been closed for months for refurbishment of the car park etc, must have forgot to fix the speed bump.[:@] claim them all the way!
  19. Hope i made the right choice. It's flamin hard to choose a scoob as there are so many out ther just waiting to be bought! after very much thought, i went for the 350BHP wrx http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=180081822142 It is in excellent condition and lots of mods, can't wait till monday to get a hold of it, also now sorted for the march run[]
  20. Just back from looking at this car, it looked in good condition, had prodrive wheels, ap 4pots with groved disks, hks dump valve, large top mount intercooler, defi guages, bigger turbo, big exhaust and inner wing induction kit, etc..... the guy bought it from someone in manchester last year so not sure who put all the mods on it and not sure who remaped it. he is selling coz awaiting court to lose his licience for 115mph. anyway the bottom line is , is it worth £10,500 []
  21. come on all you glasgow subaru experts, surley someone will come along and give me some support[] Cheers, mark
