sKunk
Awesome day! Weather was crap (suprise) but it didn't piss down so that's not too bad I guess Best 'off' of the day went to my mate Keith in the red 97 turbo which caused a red flag. A little to hot into Hislops(?) and he hit the gravel at a hell of a pace. Had to get the tyre guys to remove the tyres from the rims to get all the stones out Thanks guys My biggest moment was 3 corners into my first lap (surprise, surprise) when cold tyres caught me out, kept it on the black stuff though. Managed to get sideways at the hairpin a few times as well Managed to give ormiboy and his mate a blast around the track which was loads of fun. Very good passengers, even when I made mistakes Called it a day when I was under a quarter of a tank left. £42 of Optimax got me 60 track miles So..... when's the next track day? Link to comment

the squiggle
Talk about WINDY,Force 10 from Navorone and that was just the noise from my exhaust Highlight of the day was COULTY muffing the Noble, now no disrespect to the Noble owner{nice car mate}. Noble twin turbo circa 350bhp against 95 STI with unknown horse power but properly mapped/setup Coultys STI was actually pulling away from the Noble on the straight, i couldnt believe my eyes as well as pass every Lotus/Subaru/Caterham on the track, although the Aberdeenshire P1 would have made an intresting proposition [Climbs to the top of a mountain wih a loud hailer] The Coulty mobile is the best bang for buck Scooby in the West of Scotland WELL DONE MATE [strolls down the mountain chuffed] A shining example of what a properly setup/mapped car can do in the real world Pleasure to sit in with you,Coulty and watch all those dials and guages dance for Scotland Pleasure to meet and chat with the usual suspects Playsatan----first shout on that roller bearing beauty if you upgrade Cal i want a hurl in that Type R next time mate Andy i want a shot of that V9 as compensation for sitting about for an hour while you were detained Good day all round if only Knockhill could up sticks to a less exposed part of Scotland Grant Cal get that footage up of Coultys car please Link to comment
willie
All from the hairpin. I you want an orginial please email me Knockhill photos Link to comment
dougster
If Coulty's heid wisnae big enough in the first place!!!! He's lucky the old wagon wasn't out as everyone knows the 5 doors are faster and handle better!!! Also happy to host any mpegs taken (although not too big!!) Link to comment

jamie_wood
A rather poor day for me as the car played up a little. Blew a hose of from the front mount and couldn't get it tight again as the clamp was stripped Never mind, it was only a test run for her as its the first time she has really been opened up, and it was only just remapped yesterday( a measly 310bhp, goddam turbo!). Brakes were non existant after a few laps and with me having the front struts off the other week it was all over the shop cause it aint been set up yet Man I miss my RA Any one want to buy a Buggy with 300+bhp?? dad
<< ANOTHER GOOD TRACKDAY......THANKS TO THE GUY IN THE RED SCOOBY WHO ENDED UP IN THE KITTY LITTER AND CUTTING IT SHORT.... >> ... eh that will be me then ... certainly didn?t mean to come off cost me a hour popping wheels off to get the gravel out of the alloys and excavating the other half ton of cr@p from the brakes ....and the brake ducts.... and the underside...... certainly not my intention. I landed 12" from the barrier after spinning out exiting the chicane, not exactly what I planned Apologies for cutting the time short to the rest of you guys, but finding the limit sometimes means going over the limit! That was my first track day and what a belter! still not wiped the Scooby smile off my face since I got my first Impreza 4 weeks ago and I?ll not be able to sleep for couple of days .....I?m wired And I think I understand the handling of the car a lot better now Big thanks to all the friendly Impreza drivers who made the day sweet (not forgetting the other cars too!) And also to AWD in Perth for a great job on the new brakes and service , running like a dream Link to comment

cdowling_bm
Very cool time at KH today. As a SIDC virgin, I thought I would take the old Leggy up and see what the Impreza bretheren were putting down. Despite the typical Knockhill weather, it was a cracker of a day the people I met were equally so. I'll have to make sure my nerve and the twin-turbo is up for a thrashing next year. Charles. zeolite
I had a good day. The highlight of which was seeing Rosie's face as she went out in Jonathon Neale's caterham Thanks to AWD for the check and it looks like I wil have to open the bonnet of my Scoob l Link to comment

Anyway, great day out, some very interesting sideways action going into duffus and also over the top of the chicane. Thanks to Cal for the passenger lap which I really enjoyed. I also got some good footage of almost every car there which I can send out once I sort through it all. I almost had an emergency when by batteries fr my key fob died on me in the pits, so I couldn't start the car. Thanks to dougie for letting me borrow your batteries so I could nip into Halfords in Dunfermline to get some new ones. Panic over. Also thanks to JohnS for your time and effort in organising a great day. Kev Link to comment
DR Motosport
Another great day organised by John, many thanks. Day started with a damp track, so took it easy with the RE-70's, didn't want to kill them as they were only a week old. Then a nice dry line appeared so on when the slicks, and the fun began. Got a great run on the Noble through the chicane and passed it into Clarks, then quite easily pulled away from it. Passed most things, and certainly nothing passed us today. Come to think of it, from all the SIDC days this year, the only thing to pass has been the Radical - but it wasn't there today. Used a full tank plus a 5 gal jerry can, so maybe 80 laps. CAZ1562
Sounds like another excellent day out Well done again John Stewart. I WILL be on track as soon as 2005 arrives. The car was re-mapped yesterday down south and is pretty much det free upto 6000 rpm, a few tweeks still required but I'm sure that will have vanished by next weekend. Get the brakes sorted and then its TRACKTIME Nice clear pictures Willie (just a shame some neds spraypainting skills are poor on the white plates at the front ) Link to comment
