johns Posted August 16, 2004 Posted August 16, 2004 Roll up chaps and chapesses , the last SIDC track event of the year is being held at Knockhill. Usual format of 8am sign on and driver's briefing, 3 warm up groups of about 15 cars each, then an open pit lane until 1pm This event is selling very fast, and at the current rate will be sold out within the next week or so. If you are planning to attend, then I would strongly avoid booking up now to avoid disappointment. As usual, we'll have a great mix of cars taking part, with a variety of Imprezas, Elises, Exiges, Caterfields, and perhaps even the odd Ferrari, TVR and Radical Hope to see you all there. Cheers John
neo2742 Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 oh wish i could go but unfortunatley i have to work, missed the last one aswell so will have to wait until march next year but it least it gives me more time to sort out new suspension and brakes etc hope you all have a great time, as its hard to beat a good day out at Knockhill!! cheers Mickey
ormiboy Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 nice one, i should manage to make this one, is it the same as before with some drivers taking passengers?? im house trained with own helmet What does open pit lane mean? see you guy there
CAZ1562 Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 If you or your car could last a 4hr thrashing then on the track you go - basically no timed sessions
ormiboy Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 If you or your car could last a 4hr thrashing then on the track you go - basically no timed sessions...... that would be wicked, but not till my ecu/fueling is sorted. evertime i feel like doing other mods first or going for a blast at knockhill, i just read your article in true grip, it brings me down to earth everytime CAZ But all that should be in hand soon hows your beastie doing at the moment anyway did you get your map sorted?
CAZ1562 Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 map is kinda sorted - but Custom is gonna hopefully sort it in a few weeks when I pay him a visit Yeah - Its the 1st anniversary of the blow up this weekend

evojkp Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 John, in answer to our previous discussion, I'll not make this one. Plant in the middle of a shutdown and I cannot get time off.
johns Posted August 31, 2004 Author Posted August 31, 2004 No problems John, see you next year or perhaps later this year if there's enough interest John
trance Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Regarding the track day at knockhill. Do we just sign up on the day under our names or do we get a notification thing in the post?. Also, how long does it usually take to get the membership through in the post, need it for the diagnostic check with AWD motorsport on saturday. cheers gregg
johns Posted September 7, 2004 Author Posted September 7, 2004 Gregg, if you have bought on-line, then you'll be getting an e-mail info pack from me tomorrow giving you all the details Membership can take up to 21 days to come through, but usually it's within 2 weeks. Our hard working membership secretary Andrina generally posts out the membership packs at weekends, but depending on the numbers joining in any one week (lots of renewals to deal with as well), your pack might slip to the following week. If you have bought your membership on-line, then print out your invoice/confirmation e-mail, take it along with you, and Grant/David will be happy to do your diagnostics stuff John
trance Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Thanks john. Was'nt trying to rush you mate!!. Thanks for the swift reply.
evojkp Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Just a wee reminder for those travelling to KH from south of the Forth Bridge. The weekend closures of one side of the bridge has tended to give very lengthy tailbacks to get over. Up to around 60mins at best during mid-morning. Although early hours, before 9am should be not too bad, but the luechars air show is also on this weekend, so the bridge will be busy from 08:00 onwards. Either leave early or head for the Kincardine so you make the drivers briefing. ...John
