bunter Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) 1981 Chrysler Sunbeam Ti. Bought it for £400 back in 1992. THis is the only picture I have of it now, the dreaded rust monster did for it in the end Ahhh the sound of twin 40's sucking through trumpets sniff sniff, brings a tear to the nostalgic eye. The Spax adjustables I had on it on the other hand make my STi's HKS setup seem particularly comfy Edited August 10, 2009 by bunter
gus the bus Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 (edited) I had two cars before I even passed my test (nae surprise there really!!) 1st was a 1972 VW Beetle (looked good but was a mechanically a shed) then a 1980 Mini Van. I spent a fortune customising it inside and out First scooby was a 1997 turbo in Reddish Blue metallic which I bought new from Nobles . The rest as they say is history Edited August 10, 2009 by Gus the Bus

sti pretender Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 1962 Morris Mini Minor, 1300cc with a big carb, metro running gear to increase the track by 6 inches, no interior and a length of 2.5 inch pipe for and exhaust. Beat everything to 60 even turbo's. If only scoobies were that cheap to run and tune.

badbaz Posted August 10, 2009 Posted August 10, 2009 I had a Vauxhall Viva. Finished laughing? Long story, two cars into one, shell never been on road (mechanic training vehicle) and donor vehicle. In the end it was a two door saloon, with the Firenza(anyone know what I mean) Droopsnoot fitted on and in white. Ran it for about a year then ditched the 1256cc sewing machine and fired in a 2300cc VX engine one weekend. Holy crap, that transformed things!!! Never kept it after that as moved into a more modern XR3i. Viva reg was TGA102R, no one ever forgets their first car no matter how sh!t it was.
