scouk Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 (edited) Interesting......... Surely someone must have spotted that! Edited July 28, 2008 by ScoUK
RA Dunk Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 would be intresting to find out the answer to that one ^_^
st3ph3n Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Well that's where they did the test of the STI and Evo before. "The best driving roads in the world" was what he said.
scouk Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 Hmm.. 4 scoobies... One for each "main" generaion? 1. Classic 2. Bug/Blobeye 3. Hawkeye 4. Hatch STi PPP v2
terzo neil Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 so did they let the Stig out on the road ? so that 1 good driver and 3 others then we could email top gear as say they were spotted
empty_heed Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 oh the possibilities could be edless but heres hoping it's some quality footage of tasty scoobs doing what they do best, with the added wit from the top gear chaps
scouk Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 something about mcrae? Actually I hope not!!!!! If they are thinking about gatecrashing any of the events there will be hell to pay!! As much as TG is entertaining at times, the last thing we need is that lot sticking their nose in and cocking up what is going to be a great weekend!! On the other hand if he's up doing somethign sensible like giving the Impreza a proper "road" test, that it deserves then, yeehaa!

thewelsho Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 oh the possibilities could be edless ... Yeah, one possibility is that it may not have been him, only someone that looked like him
empty_heed Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 i don't think clarkson would do anything out of order about mcrae. i like this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21_JCx3_vlc
thewelsho Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Awesome vid - haven't seen it in ages! Excellent! First time I have ever seen it.
Midnight21 Posted July 29, 2008 Posted July 29, 2008 Excellent! First time I have ever seen it. Me too that was brill
DR Motosport Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Colin told me years ago that they had about 4 attempts to get the finish staged correctly. If you watch closely from the air you can see the F1 car starting to pass the Focus too early, and Colin was too far back to catch Clarkson. Sorry for spoiling it. One of the first to try this was Senna in a McLaren with a couple of Porsches; and that wasn't yesterday.
little vodka goblin Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 something about mcrae? He'd be a very brave man considering how rude he's been about subaru drivers recently!

Yeah, I have seen one with Coulthard driving the McLaren and another with Shumacher driving the Ferrari. Well of course its going to take a few attempts at choreographing (sp?) it, no shame in that.
