  8. Im booked into Hypertech in bonnybridge for friday, did mine 2 year ago and was impressed with there work and the way the car handled after was great. Got tein coilovers fitted recently so looking forward to getting it allingned properly.
  9. Seeing is believing my friend, or in this case feeling, try it, you wont be dissapointed. You will be surprised how much tar and sheit it takes of even the cleanest looking paint work. and smooth as a baby ass.
  10. Thanks for the advice/comments guys, just about to go get it back from garage just now so ill take a wee spin and see what they teins are like, should make a big difference cause i think the back struts have been a wee bit fooked since i got the car over 3 years ago despite what Grieves told me. And that includes 13.5 laps of the "Ring. john
  11. unless it's the cheap crap that catches fire! Holy shoit, it better no. i bought it from scoobyworld http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_53&products_id=1641
  12. Hi all, got my new 3" stainless steel exhaust fitted today from the turbo to and including back box but mechanic had to break a bolt on the turbo heat shield. So at the moment it has no heat shield. Now iv been scouring forums all over the internet regarding opinions on this but i want to know what you guys think. i know the intercoler is gonna run hotter and other things i dont quite understand but i noticed some wires behind the intercooler pretty close to the turbo, will they melt? I also wrapped the DP in heat wrap, is it normal for it to smoke when new? will it stop when it gets run in? Has anyone used a turbo blanket? I read they overheat the turbo, anyone with experience of these? Ok enough questions about turbos, on to Tein coilover kits. Im getting this fitted tomorrow and as iv never had coilovers before whats your opinion on ride height stiffness etc? They are fully adjustable. 6 more sleeps to andy forrest remap
  13. Tnanks for the replies guys, as usuall. Tried calling c and c yesterday but was engaged for hours so ill try again on monday. And i was thinking the same thing about the fuel pump, for all it costs.
  14. Ok Phil thanks for that mate, thats what i read as well but just wanna confirm.
  15. Im looking for some good reliable companies that can make me a custom stainless steel exhaust preferably in the lanarkshire area but will travel outwith if necessary. i remember Gus telling me to get (i think) an open neck for the downpipe, is that right? Also wanting some decals done, nothing much just a saltire on the roof and some rally style names on the rear windows, anyone know of any they can recommend? Has anyone used/using Tarox Sport Japan Discs? whats your opinion of them? cant afford the PFC and the brembos i have on have warped twice on me so trying something else. And last but not least does anyone know if the PPP on MY05 sti comes with the walbro 255 fuel pump fitted? read conflicting stories about this. Thanks all in advance. Hutch
  16. I got one mate but the scrappy renaged on the deal, thx anyway.
  17. Sorry to bring this up again, BUT, have a chance to get one from a local scrappy for washers but he said i need a special socket to get it of but a mechanic friend said all i need is a ring spanner, can anyone shed some light on this for me?
  18. Is there a physical difference between them Don?
  19. The code was p0031, is it fixable or do I need a new sensor?
  20. Do you know if it's a 4 pin type Peter? I now know its the sensor on the manifold that's faulty.
