Miles Per Tank.

I Usually get between 260 and 280. Fill up to the top after fuel light is on for abotu 20-30 miles or so.

Last tank was 285miles

Previous tank was 220 and that's because i was sitting in roadworks every day..

Managed to get around 360 miles out of it at one point travelling south on the motorways. :rotfl:

It's more about how your drive and what sort of roads you regularly drive on.. 250 seems about average from what I can tell..

True... occasionally I think I'll drive like a granny and see just how much I can get out of a tank... never managed a full tank driving like that yet :D

I've a real problem in that the road I pull out onto first thing in the morning generally has cars coming from both directions at 60mph+ (downhill from both directions) so you tend to need to pull out sharply to get into the queue... or sit there for *ages*. Doesn't do a great deal for the mpg if you have your foot to the floor for a bit

I thought that when I read it first aswell,

he DID 420 miles in total, on 1.3 tanks of fuel. still ridiculous to me, how the hell do people get 300 odd miles out a tank!? I know we are in it for the fun etc but I wouldn't mind a little bit more.

mines a 308bhp and I get 220 slow and 180 fast.

It smells like most of my petrol falls out the back when I switch it on though!

:D

Note to self must read all the post in future :rotfl:

Standard '05 2.0 WRX.

I fill the tank up to the brim with V-power once the fuel light comes on.

This is a weekly event and i am currently averaging 296 miles to the tank.

That is with a mix of mostly conservative driving and the occasional blast. Although i think my wife drives it like a loon when she has it! :rotfl:

i cant believe people are getting over 300 miles from 1 tank, i get about 200-220 mainly driving about town in MY03 wrx sometimes even less. tried a slow drive down south once to try and see how far i could get from a tank, made it to happendon and boredome set in sitting at 70mph, cant remember how far i got on that tank :rotfl: pushing it hard at KH once i got less than 150 miles but was worth every penny of v power.

Guys, i have an '07 plate RB320 and get 250 miles to the tank max BUT i'm convinced the fuel gauge is all to pot as when the thing is almost empty all i can squeeze into it is just over 45 litres and it's supposed to be a 60 litre tank!!

I *think* there are a couple of gallons left in the tank when the light comes on, but I've never been brave (daft) enough to run it dry to see just how much is left in it :D

Hi Guys,

I have a 2004 STI thats been mapped to 340bhp by Andy F, it has been servced every 10k and when I don't hammer the backside of it I can get between 250-280 miles per tank, when it does get a wee bit heat that can be as low as 100, but as previously stated by many - you don't buy and STI, get it mapped to 340bhp if your gonna be worried about how many MPG's you get. If you do worry about such trivial things sell the car and buy a diesel - let someone else enjoy how an Impreza is meant to be driven.

PS, The white 18"s are going on the car this weekend and the pics will be on the forum on Sunday/Monday cannae wait!!!! What a bloody kid I am.

Exactly - its interesting to know what mpg other people get, but if you got a healthy car then lower mpg = more fun you had using it!

- the difference between a fast tank and a slow tank for me is about 40 miles, about the same distance as driving to glasgow.

... and who wants to go there!? :D

my 93 import used to get about 160mls a tank but after removing the induction kit and replacing it with an apexi panel filter i get a wopping 180-200mls per tank

Jesus and i considered getting an impreza a couple of years ago and decided not to cos of insurance mainly but also the fuel cost.

I ended up buying a VR6 golf and a full tank is about 50 quid and the most i have ever got is about 220 to the tank :D so going to go buy a scoob for the economy :D My car indicates an average of about 25-26 with an average speed of 30mph.

I drove to the manchester and back last year about 600 miles round trip and it cost about 150 quid although i did do the 600 miles in 8 hours still though i never realised imprezas were that economical. Anybody want to buy a VR6 golf

My mpg seems do have dropped loads since i got the car.I was starting to have slight feelings of concern but then i realised just how much faster i had started getting to work in the morning.
