  1. Kit Been off the forum for a while. Downer when you find stuff like that, sure you'll get it sorted soon enough. What are you looking at buying next (nice blob eye wagon ppp? lol) Cheers Drew
  2. I have a 53 WRX PPP (wagon) and I get 270-290 Miles out of a tank, V power used. Cheers Drew

  4. Very nice looking and sounding P1 going into South Queensferry this morning just before 0630. I was in the Blobeye wagon behind you. Cheers Andrew

  6. Alan Thanks, I will have a look more closely at the paperwork. I've alway just said it was the standard manufacture alarm which the insurance seemed happy about. Cheers Drew
  7. Alan It's just the normal Subaru WRX alarm, imobiliser and standard key (with 1 button for open/close). Cheers Drew
  8. Andy Cheers for the reply. I use this garage all the time and have had no issues before. Also the key still doesn't work, nightmare. I'll drop by Subaru and see what they have to say. Cheers Drew
  9. Hi Bit of a boring query but................. Yesterday I left my house and drove to get petrol (5-10 mins). Within that time my key fob stopped working and I couldn't lock the doors. Cut a long story short I annoyed a lot of people trying to get petrol as the car was stuck next to one of the pumps until I got someone to get my spare key which luckily worked. Has anyone else had a problem like this, it's not the key fob battery as I swapped the batteries around so seems the key just failed. It's not been dropped or got wet recently and I have been using the same key for around a year. I know the keys are pretty expensive to buy (warranty expried at end of Dec!) but don't want to get stuck if it happens again. If it makes a difference it's a 53 plate WRX wagon Cheers Andrew
  10. STI pretender Thanks, I know it's registered Dec 2003 but can't check my CO2 level (WRX PPP) as at work. Cheers Andrew
  11. So is the following correct: Pre March 2006 cars can only be charged at a maximum of group F. Quote 'Alan-G The registered date of the car dont matter now. Emissions rule the F/G band'
  12. Gus Managed to upload some photo's onto photobucket, first time doing this so let me know if you can see anything! Hopefully it might give you more of an idea of what I was talking about. Cheers Drew http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p171/Gl...rubumper001.jpg http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p171/Gl...rubumper002.jpg http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p171/Gl...Subarufront.jpg http://i128.photobucket.com/albums/p171/Gl.../Subaruback.jpg
  13. Gus Thanks for this, tbh I think I just scraped the sump guard and it does look to clean for anything to have been knocked off from the bumper but thought maybe something wasn't put back after the service. I am away down south till Thursday but will take a photo and try and post it when I come back. Thanks for putting my mind at rest. Cheers Drew
  14. Hi A weird query for you all on a wet Sunday night. I have a Blob Eye WRX Wagon and recently had the car serviced but also grounded it on a car park curb! and don’t know if I’ve lost something or not. Basically the underneath of the centre front bumper there are 3 extended square areas with holes in the middle (same colour as bumper) which look like something should be attached to it (possibly guard of some sort). The possible missing bit would sit between the bumper and the sump guard. Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers Andrew
  15. I have a Cobra TrakQ fitted to mine and have to admit that the customer service side of things is1st class. I seem to get through within a few rings and emails are answered same day. Don't really know if the actual system is better or worse than the tracker though.
  16. The clips were the highlight of my day at work[] very funny

  18. Superb That answeres all my questions and more.... Cheers Drew[]
  19. I'm confused, easily done I admit. [] I have a 53 WRX with PPP and I needed to top up my oil, for the first time since getting the car, the service book states that you should use 5w40, fully sinthetic oil. I phoned my local dealer, where it was last serviced, and they told me to use Shell Helix as that's what Subaru recommend and that's what would have been used at the last service. I bought this but it's 10w40, fully sinthetic, not 5w40. I'm just interested to know if this makes a lot of difference and if it does what make and type you all use and recommend. Cheers for your help Drew[]
  20. Cheers for all the replies and making it so easy to fit in! I'll keep a look out for you all and hope to make the next meet.[]
  21. Hi Not in Carnegie Drive, Mine is WR Blue Mica and I'm up behind Queen Margaret Hospital. Thanks for all your reply's - still getting used to all the scooby waves, what a difference from driving an Alfa.. Cheers Drew
  22. Hi I'm new to Subaru and the forum, thought i'd post and say hello. Got my Dec03 WRX Wagon last Tuesday and am over the moon. It has the ppp fitted but that's all (I think) so checking out the forum for any advice. Tried to post a photo but didn't work! Cheers DrewG Dunfermline []
