Makes me look like a post wh0re! Anyway, isn't Christmas Day nearly over in Aus? - don't have to be polite to the boss about the prezzies for much longer. Have a great day and get off the forum - it makes us look real saddo peeps without a turkey or anything else to stuff []
-
Can't delete them even after a few seconds, so have to edit each one to look as if i meant to do it.

grrrr silly new software - start tying too soon and it posts loads of blank messages
-
Oi - stop that whinging - put a sock in in you! At least you'll have lovely warm toes all Christmas
-
Fascinating - produces totally different HTML code, but gets the result - shame it also gives the hidden links to your home porno collection in the HTML!!

Wot no angry little smiley with a hammer, or couldn't find a little pixie person either? Quick lesson coming up - it also proves what a sad beggar I really am that I bothered pulling the stunt off at all. I had thought about pasting from word, but preferred to mess about under the bonnet to see how it used to work. I went back to old threads that I knew had a bit of colour and then found a coloured message - it still shows coloured in the new software, so went to quote and then clicked on the sneaky little HTML button on the message tool-bar (next to the new spellchecker button) - lo and behold I have fonts, colours and bold as much as I can eat. The sad bit comes when you keep doing this to different messages to build up a little collection and then paste them all into my new reply. Over-type the unwanted text with my new words and then keep previewing it and fettling until it's close enough. The important trick is to get all the less than / greater than characters symmetrical, plus switching back again. Brace myself for everybody having some playtime now .... BTW you could just change the colour number to any old random hex and see what happens? Cheers, David

Missing those lovely bits coming up in pretty pink? You just have to pay the paint-pot pixies and they rush to colour it in for you They like blue too - each has their own little brush Could have purple if you catch the right little elf - now is that prettier? Cheers, David

little blue blocks? down south we have little yellow blocks in our pub bogs - found out the hard way that they weren't pineapple chunks[]

It is a bit chilly Why thank ye kindly good sir! - is he shaking with cold or is he trying to sh4g the previous letter? Cold out - I think i'll put it away []

[:#] Hope you mean the driver of a bendy bus, and not a bus driver who ....

Cold and miserable! Took me 3 hours to reach the dartford bridge last night and only sped up when i was in a decent county[]. Left Lyminge to head back at about half nine and the cold was worse and so was the fog. Felt really sorry for those in the tunnel bound queue (still 90 mins delay at that time of night), so went home the wrong way around the M25 - dropped to minus 3 at one point and fog / gritters all the way around. anyone would think it was winter!! C'mon Granby - surely you've got some special smileys for a cold day?
-
Hi Iain - go ahead and post the links and I'll tidy up the post same as last time You'll need to remind us how much to pay for the shirts too......
-
Have a great day - hope skippy got you something special - like your own tunnel to play in [H]

Us? - We slip out of the house just before midnight, creep up 50 odd cold stone stairs to a little room, grab hold of a long stretchy rope, and make a bl00dy loud noise!! Noisy blasted bellringers - waking my little kids up blah blah blah, worse than them flipping boy racers in their soobaroos with big exhausts - Happy New Year to you too! Oh, and then after a wee tipple, back home for a bottle of vintage port and another of single malt (probably shared unless I'm grumpy!!!) Have a great one whatever you do, and stay safe David & Chrissy

Words & Piccies from Big D ---- Hi all A massive thanks to all of you who turned up today, I was really blown away with the turn out given that its the last weekend before Christmas. It was also nice to see so many new members and to be told that others would be coming in the future I have added a few pics from today but the quality aint' so good as they were taken from our camcorder and not my digital camera....... SORRY What did you think of the location? Please speak your mind.... The reason I ask is that if you were happy with the venue, as I was it will be our regular meeting point over the next few months. Thanks again Iain ================== There you go Iain - hopefully hacked out the IE7 hassle and got the piccies in! Venue - yep i'd be keen to go there again, the car park had good space, the food was fine (the size of those jacket spud plates!!) and most importantly, the attitude from the staff was very good especially as they were so hassled with a queue of Sunday diners just before Christmas. Cheers David & Chrissy

Won't get out of MK until 11ish, so see you folk just after 12? Cheers, David & Chrissy

Hi alan, Still suggest Cotswold - http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/851182/ShowPost.aspx They might just fit you in before Christmas - I'm booked in for next week. They work until 7pm too, so if you needed to fit it in after work you could. Book time is just over 2 hours for the 40k. If you have your SIDC membership card, you'll get a fiver off the hourly labour and 10% off the parts I believe - just mention it when you book in, so that they don't have the hassle of rewriting the invoice.

Well worth the long drive down folks - got back a bit quicker though, despite some appalling rain close to home. Thanks for a great evening of company and chatter - look forward to some outside fun and frolics in the New Year! hope you enjoyed your kebab Tony - just the one?? Cheers, David & Chrissy -
I'm not changing then []

Welcome to the forum Craigy. It's always a bit tight in the run up to Christmas!! Be good if you can make it to the meeting, no problem if all you can fit in is an hour of chat and then vanish - not a bad way to decide whether we bite or not [:S] If you're only in Abingdon, then take a look in the Bucks section too - there's a big overlap with many of us going to both meets each month. I don't know about a local Abingdon meet of SIDC folk, but there may well be something run by sox or one of the other Jap car groups. See you've already got a photobucket account, so hopefully the piccy below will show us you're not quite as pink as Karen Cheers, David & Chrissy (Blue wagon)

Hi Mark, Take a look at http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/840105/ShowPost.aspx and you'll see we move around a fair bit!! Very laid back format - arrive before or after the rest, most of us eat some food while we're there, chat for a bit, sort out any other events that are coming up, then wander back an look at the newcomers cars! If you've joined the forum, but not got full blown SIDC membership yet, then expect to part with some cash - you'll also get to own a set of OSC stickers before you leave [H] There's a fair age range, and the pubs are family friendly. Well behaved crowd though - the only donuts are in the kitchen!!! Bring yours along m8 - always good to see new folk.

Tough on the staff, as already said. Although there have been some negative threads in here (that sadly didn't seem to have a happy "they've been in touch and now I'm sorted" ending), I can't forget the support that they gave to SIDC by supporting the RBMR event.[Y] That might be because I bid for one of the jackets, but they helped to make a fantastic day that little bit better. I'm sure that SIDC wil miss the advertising sponsorship too.[] I'm still surprised that any of the Subaru dealerships keep afloat - the sales margins seem tighter than ever, and they just don't go wrong as often as some of the opposition. When I count up the number of hours mine spends in a dealership getting serviced, and then divide that into the number of working days in year, they need a heck of a lot of customers just to keep one service bay occupied throughout the year. At half a day per car per year, that still needs about 500 cars in the area who want to use dealership help! My gut feel is that the best care comes from specialist dealers, but the ones who survive seem to be multiple franchise holders who can spread their overheads wider?

I like to be Different but this guy takes some beating !!!!!!!
HairyDJ replied to tony_cousins's topic in South East England
Hi Tony, Got to see it, and hear it, this lunchtime. The front is a bit different too - you can just make it out on some of the line-up photos here http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/831312/ShowPost.aspx Strangely, I didn't think a lot about any of the shape, but did like the original colour shade.
