  7. If you or your car could last a 4hr thrashing then on the track you go - basically no timed sessions

  14. Nice nickname Caroline
  15. Congratulations Johnny, hope mother & son are well. Now get saying for his 17th birthday
  16. Hi m8, Jon introduced these at the last one, but due to the nice weather you probably didn't get a chance to see them
  17. U'll find most people will accept you as a passenger no problem. If John continues his idea from the last track day, he'll issue car stickers to those who would accept p/x laps
  18. I changed the crank pulley cause somebody chipped the OEM pulley trying to remove it before the timing belt got changed (3 yrs ago). The other reason was the weight saving to counter balance the flywheel.
  19. Hi Johnny, Yes my crank pully is a lot smaller than the original. The belts that came in the kit were adjusted to suit the difference in size. Did you get the GFB kit from GGR ?
  20. AWD Motorsport are based in Perth. Look at Multimap for thier location.
  21. What we found was prior to applying the tension, make sure the timing marks are lined up on the RHS perfect and on the LHS is at 5 past 3 so that when you apply the tension it pulls the LHS to 3 o clock. What you find is the top cam is bang on its lobe and it has a habit of jumping. LHS - Cyl 2 & 4 on the near side (battery side) RHS - Cyl 1 & 3 on the off side (air filter side)
  22. its like an impact gun. I took my alternator to the local Auto Electrical workshop who removed it FOC
  23. Thats what I done last year. Wait till you feel the weight difference especially on the crank pulley. You also need to use a hammer ratchet to remove the alternator pulley otherwise you'll wreck the internals trying to lock the spindle.
  24. Hi Johnny, This sounds quite concerning to think the pulley is slack and you lost the drivebelt. Has the car had any recent maintenance which would involve the removal of the crank pulley (ie - timing belt or oil pump replacement ?) Hopefully you'll get it sorted.
