Looks good mate... [H] Can you PM me with prices for Whiteline Flatout Springs, 22mm Adjustable Rear ARB and Anti-Lift Kit for an 07 STi please. [] Cheers, Grant
-
Might be lucky and get 3 points mate... but I think if you get a Court appearance, then you're looking at 4 points and a £150 fine at least. Cheers, Grant

I'll get the ball rolling, but just to warn you all, this is a LONG post and people rolling on a bad boy 56k connection might want to go make a cup of tea while it loads. [] - 1986 Mk2 XR2 (not actual pic): Had this car for about 6 months, properly good banter... until I left it somewhere in Fife and it got trashed. Power: 100bhp (estimated) - 1992 Citroen BX GTi 16v (not actual pic): Bought this when I lost my XR2, it cost me 80quid and lasted about a fortnight before I burnt the clutch out and left it sitting there. Power: 150bhp (Citroen Figs.) - 2000 Mondeo 2.0 Zetec: First 'proper' car and it was pretty quick, did a lot of miles in it cause I was working thru in Kirkcaldy at the time.. when I'd finished with it, I gave it to my dad so he could use it in London and not worry about getting dents/dings in his car. Power: 136bhp (Ford Figs.) - 1992 Series 2 RS Turbo: Always promised myself an S2 and when I got rid of the Mondeo I decided to bite the bullet and go for it.. so managed to buy a J-Reg 1992 RS Turbo, one of 8 that were registered. I absolutely loved this car and threw thousands at it. Power: 167bhp @ wheels, 0.9bar. 8) - 1999 Subaru Impreza Turbo: After having the RS, I was addicted to Turbo power.. and having friends with Imprezas didnt help. I was getting pissed off at the RS being tempremental in traffic and breaking wee things now and again..... so, I went and bought this from Town and County in Perth. Power: 260-270bhp (estimated) - 1999 Honda Civic VTi: Got offered a crazy deal for my Impreza above, so I decided to swap for this Civic plus a mountain of cash.. as it turns out, this car was one of my all time favorites. It was quick, handled well, sounded awesome and it never ever let me down despite getting a large amount of VTEC every day. Power: 175bhp - 1998 Subaru Impreza Turbo: One of my friends in the Subaru Owners Club was wanting to move away from his Impreza for something a little less expensive to run so a straight swap deal was done.. and I set to work transforming the look of the new Scoob...... this was one of my best looking cars IMO, still in the area too. Power: 240bhp (estimated) - 1993 Honda Civic VTi: Bought this from a guy I knew in the area, had a load of mods on it.. and was quick. So after I blew it up the first night I had it, I went for a B18 conversion on it..... after that it really did go like a train, things werent meant to be though and it spun a bearing and I sold it on eBay and recovered pretty much all my money I'd spent. Power: 169bhp - 1994 Toyota Celica GT4 WRC: This was the quickest car that I've ever owned and it sounded the absolute bollox, JUN Cams, TD06 Turbo, External Wastegate and Screamer Pipe... awesome, bought this off one of my best mates after he'd spent a lot of money on it. Great fun, smoked loads of stuff in that including a 911 Carrera 4S & new E55 AMG among other things. Power: 400.3bhp @ 0.9bar - 1992 Peugeot 205 GTi: This was shit, smoked like a bitch, didnt go fast, didnt sound nice and it felt like raindrops would dent the bodywork.. but it was clean and it handled well. Power: 60bhp, max (estimate) - 1992 Rover 216 GTi: This is the funniest car I've owned, still got it. Its got the Twin Cam Honda Engine so its actually pretty quick and with the DIY Motorsport Induction Kit I've fitted to it, it sounds awesome too.. List of kills include Saxo VTS, Vectra 2.0 16v and numerous other Corsas etc. Power: 120bhp (estimate) - 1999 Subaru Impreza Turbo PPP: This is the cleanest Impreza I've bought, 40k miles, rare colour, well cared for, low owners... Bought a few parts for it, then got an offer from a guy I know through in Arbroath so I sold it on to him. Power: 260bhp @ 1.15bar - 1996 Vauxhall Omega Elite Estate: I remembered my old man having one of these when they were new and it was the most comfortable car I've ever been in.. so went and bought one as a runaround.. it didnt drift for shit but it was comfortable, damn thirsty on the fuel though. Power: 200bhp (estimate) - 1997 Toyota Celica GT4: Bought mechanically/visually standard as a blank canvas to work with, came in the very rare Storm Grey colour. Spent a lot of money on the car and it still needed work done, so I punted it on after getting fed up of it. Power: 317.7bhp @ 1.05bar - 1993 Ford Escort RS2000: Saw this car for sale on the RS Owners Club recently for a good price so decided to go along for a wee peek at it.. well I liked what I saw, so I decided to buy it there and then..... Has a few mods on it and drives really well. Sold to a mate for him to use as a runaround. Power: 165bhp - 1999 Subaru Impreza Turbo: Was looking for a car to take dog around, mum could use occasionally for bad weather driving to her work and as a replacement for when I sold the Grey Celica as it was pissing me off.. found this absolute bargain on Autotrader and gave guy deposit over phone without seeing it, 29k miles, FSSH, mint condition... in Essex!! Power: 240bhp (estimate) ..........thats us up to date, currently got the White GT4 WRC, Rover GTi and Impreza STi Spec-D Cheers, Grant

As a toy, I'd go for a Classic RA/Type-R. Fact. As a daily/regular road car, I'd go for a Newage STi. Fact. [] Cheers, Grant

No longer blending in... its now sporting a Hayward & Scott Angled Backbox and Centre Section and a Green Panel Filter. I can't help it, I only wanted a Panel Filter........... ended up talking myself into the Exhaust parts while I was standing there, but its certainly released a decent wee burble!! [] Grant, I've still got the Celica at the moment, but to be honest, I'm enjoying the STi that much that I'm pretty sure I'm going to be shifting that onwards as its a bit of a waste of potential/money to have it sitting there doing nothing. Plus, if I break that, its my own money I'm shelling out to fix it, unlike the STi. Here are a few pics I took today (inc the one Col took of me spectating on Sunday @ Knockie): Still a big fan of the dials, hence the wee stages of light-up I thought I'd share with you all... haha [] Cheers, Grant
-
Saw you at the double roundabouts in Dundee mate... Was in the Hawkeye waiting for you to come round, damn it sounded nice as your disappeared down the hill. [] Best of luck with the wee one and Project Classic. [H] Cheers, Grant
-
Haha, thanks for the pic Col... I'm planning to keep this one for a wee while, my main problem is staying away from Pistonheads and For Sale Sections of forums, because thats what leads to me selling cars and buying others when I see something I fancy!! [] Cheers, Grant
-
Thanks guys, really happy with it... love the hassle/worry free feeling I've got when driving, something I didn't have with older cars, if it broke then it was coming out of my own pocket.. Not so with a Warranty. [H] Hmmmmm, modding, there is a small list at the moment.. couple of subtle styling mods planned, but certainly wont be sticking any gold wheels or high-level wings on it!! Main thing is that its a wee bit quiet at the moment, so looking into BackBox/Centre combos at the moment to release a bit of the dugga/dugga soundtrack that I'm so addicted to!! [] Cheers, Grant

The weather has been awesome this weekend, Knockhill was great banter today... but the best thing about the weekend is that on Saturday, I became a Newage STi owner for the first time.[][][] I'd like to say thanks to the guys down at Ian Grieves in Falkirk for giving me the chance to snap up a brand new STi Spec-D after the original buyer decided to pull out of the deal.. So I traded the MY99 Wagon in and the deal was done........ I cant believe what a car the Spec-D is! I've got to run it in for 1000miles, which is proving very difficult to restrain myself to 4k, I'm managing though. It certainly feels like its got bags to give once I've got the 1000mile Inspection out the way. The seats arent quite as 'buckety' as the classics were, but they still hold you in place well, despite being leather. I've got no idea what the diff dial is all about or how it'll change the drive of the car, but if I did had a fiddle then I'd only be tempted to try it out 'properly' I suppose.. and thats probably a bad thing until I crack the 1000mile barrier!! Haha!! [] Going to try and take a few pics of the new machine tomorrow and throw them up on the thread.... its a Spec-D, all 300 of them are kinda the same. [] Cheers, Grant

The White WRC Focus was amazing... suspension looked sorted, braking looked sorted and it went like feck too!! Through some pretty heavy traffic we un-officially timed it at about 53secs. [H] Was up there in a STi Spec-D, B19GDF... Parked next to a Black S2000 with Black Wheels throughout the day at various spots. [] Cheers, Grant
-
No idea.... both played in an Army Band?? Cheers, Grant
-
Maybe be up this weekend aye... I'll keep an eye out for you guys. [] Cheers, Grant
-
B16DMC... I'd be interested in the Prodrive Back Box (price dependant) as a quick solution before I make up my mind about what to go for long term. PM me with a price please mate. [] Afterburner will be pretty loud once you get a straight through centre on there I think Karps... [H] Cheers, Grant
-
Just wondering how much someone like Meercat is for a backbox on a Newage STi... and is it possible to to be quite loud and intrusive, but get a bung made up at the same time so that it can also be quiet and easy to live with day to day?! Its kind of asking a lot I know!! lol [] Cheers, Grant
-
Karps, what backbox have you fitted to your car?? Cheers, Grant
-
Haha, fair enough mate.. I'd go with the Turtle Wax Extreme Shampoo (Wash & Wax) then use Meguiars Gold Class Wax, pretty sure you can buy both from Autosave on the Clepi. [] Cheers, Grant
-
Thanks mate... appreciate the advice. [H] Back on topic, there was a nice Silver STi for sale here. Damn good price too, for the age, mileage and the fact its been well cared for by a well known enthusiast. [H] Cheers, Grant
-
Sweet, just ask for Fast Road... or Prodrive set-up?? Sorry for the thread hi-jack, but this is my last question.... promise!! [] Cheers, Grant
-
I'm not sure to be honest, I know that on the Classics you can tell a PPP'd ECU by looking at it... Pretty sure it had a Pink Sticker on it, might be the same with Newage, but probably worth checking before ripping up carpets and trim. [] I think that its probably running a PPP'd ECU as I dont see how it could adjust and cope with all the extra stuff that an STi ECU would expect it to have and be trying to control.. I know a few people that arent totally clue'd up who think Prodrive and STi are the same thing, so its probably been something as simple as that. If he's still not sure and he fancies a wee trip to Edinburgh, could be a good idea to book himself into see AndyF for a wee run with the Det Cans on to make sure that everything is a-ok and give him peace of mind... [] Cheers, Grant
-
Welcome mate.. [H] Craig, is that Falkland in Fife?? How much does that set-up cost, what do they do and how long does it take?? Cheers, Grant
-
Your car has got 4-pots hasnt it Gus?? If not then I'd be looking into upgrading to a set... I remember the hopes and prayers I said every time I needed to brake in my MY98 UK wagon with 2-pots. lol [] Cheers, Grant
-
270bhp sounds about right for a strong running WRX PPP... I'm pretty sure the book figures are 265bhp. I very much doubt the car would start/run with an STi ECU because of all the differences between the cars. It isnt Blue with Gold 18's and SUBARU stickers on rear windows is it?? Cheers, Grant
-
Turtle Wax Extreme is good stuff for a quick wash.. For a proper detail, you'll be talking a LOT of money to buy proper Swissol stuff, etc.. I just did our BMW at the weekend and used: Two-Bucket Method using Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo Chamois/Blade to dry car Meguiars 3-stage Detail which is - Paint Cleaner, Deep Gloss Polish and Carnauba (sp?) Wax It took around 4 hours, to do a Cabriolet, on the outside only.. Haha.. but the results are defo worth it. [H] Cheers, Grant
-
Yea, I agree about the High Level STi spoiler.. much prefer the more subtle approach. [H] Cheers, Grant
-
LOL... You gone back to your standard WRX spoiler too then?? [] Cheers, Grant
