  1. Sorry to hijack, am thinking of fitting a sports cat to mine, is this likely to mess up the o2 sensor aswell. Is it the increased gas flow, or the lack of a cat that confuses it?
  2. Spotted twice in your own car within about 30 minutes, not bad going[]. Glad you're back on the road hope this one holds up a bit better, looking shiny[Y].
  3. See link http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/887115/Sho...ead.aspx#887115
  4. Spotted an L plate silver wagon (non turbo unfortunately) with a cleanish front end in a breakers this morning? Wings looked ok, had the wheel arch linings etc, but unfortunately bonnet/bumper were the non turbo type.
  5. Sorry to hear that mate.
  6. Agree with Markie on this. Bad news mate and feel sorry for you but you do still have the lights which a lot of people wouldn't have, just trying to be +ve!!!! Try a few breakers, Grade A, Q-dog's been to one in essex looking at his car!![], see how much it would be to do it yourself. On the cost front if you get a decent motorway run in it the fuel consumption vastly improves, so it might not be as expensive as you think. I do mostly motorway, but not long trips, and get 300+ miles to the tank 95% of the time, that's about 50 litres of fuel. Good luck with everything
  7. Although it could do with a minor touch up cosmetically...... courtesy of Markie's body shop and his big hammer?? lol Think I saw a daewoo nexia on there once which did actually look worse and there were also claims of blowing away evo's etc, in the bends aswell lol. Nice find!!
  8. Nice!!![]
  9. Nope, I was on foot. Came out of the underpass by the ellenor (sp?) craft and coffee centre on the way to the pub and you were sitting there. Think I heard you leave a few minutes afterwards[H]
  10. Micky W parked up Dartford town centre about an hour ago
  11. First thing I did to mine was replace the centre section. Mines a MY03 wrx with PPP. Was going to do the cat pipe your mate has, but on closer inspection it turned out I had one, just had the heat shields still on it so it looked like it still had the cat!! Unresonated centre section makes the car a little louder, more burbly than all out volume and a few pops on over run. Sounds much better (IMHO) than the standard PPP set up but don't expect to shatter windows or deafen your neighbours, it's quite subtle, but it's there[] Previously had a classic and did the same, again with PPP, replaced centre section with decat part, keeping prodrive bbox and sounded[Y]. Then changed bbox for another, and much much louder. Point being (again IMHO) what influences the overall volume the most is the back box. Takin out the cats, resonated bits etc will affect the noise/sound of the exhaust but if you consider the amount of sound deadening stuff in the rear box compared to the rest of the system it kind of makes sense. Keeping the prodrive box on the back should keep it quite civilised
  12. Any good? http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/873553.aspx
  13. Think one of the key things here is you say your missus was driving. Some people can't handle the fact that females can drive fast cars too!!!!!!! My ex used to get far more hassle than I do when driving it. On one occasion she had an MR2 taunting her going down a long hill on her way to work. She let it go and saw his brake lights coming on as he got to a bend.....(this is nice) as she had go in the car earlier she had recieved a call from one of her friends, apparently she had knocked her phone and rang her unintentionally earlier. Conversation went, "what did you want blah blah... and as you get to the bottom of the long hill we've got a speed trap set up this morning so be careful" Fate and friends in high places[]
  14. Top people up there[Y]. Been up there once, came away empty handed that time, plan to return soon[H]
  15. We've just had something fly off the roof here and land down below. Sounded metallic. Only work tho so not too serious, as long as it doesn't block the road home!!!! Hope the rest of the tree/garage stay up!

  18. Is it a scoobyworld one? They do one that's similar to the sti8 type but with a bit of a slant on it.
  19. Batteries ok? If the spare fob hasn't been used for a bit could the terminals be a bit corroded?
  20. Absolutley gutted for you mate. Glad no-one was hurt hope you are back on the road soon.
  21. Sounded good tho[Y][H]
  22. Yep, you beat me to it lol, twice in two days!!! Sorry, I wasn't aiming for you, someone came onto the roundabout a bit quick so I had to get out the way lol. I didn't see you til the last minute!!
  23. There's a site, www.stefanostadal.com , or something like that but it never lets me in. Try searching for stefanostadal on here and go through one of the links, very good for the fitting of gauges.
  24. Thought it might have been yours, but was distracted by the first one amd only noticed yours as it went by so only really saw the back in my mirrors. Auto transmissions? Nothing serious I hope.
