  1. 304lbft!!!!! Very nice mate. When's Trevor having his done??
  2. So is that £30 normal prices or for the group price? I've got 2 little dents in my bonnet, always have had and would like to get rid of them. They are very small but the bl**dy eagle eyed dealer spotted them[:@]
  3. NIce one Baser. Must feel quite a difference!![H]
  4. Or RM Tyres in Strood, number PM'd
  5. Glad you're sorted mate[Y]
  6. Very nice mate. Is the gunk stuff you used sprayed on. I was just thinking that if you get a spray cleaner and spray lacquer, it doesn't sound too dis-similar to the now discontinued CD2[*-)], which was great stuff!! Did you nearly gas yourself while using it?
  7. RB320 near xtremes Saturday morning. First one I've seen on the road[Y]
  8. Mine started when the tyres were quite worn, but I s'pose it could happen on new ones, or they're just a noisier tread pattern maybe. You get it from some of the 4x4 off road tyres when on tarmac, some of the army jeeps for example? May go once the tyres are scrubbed in. Mine were also Toyos.
  9. As Dean said[Y] If you need a hand removing it let me know
  10. 50psi instead of 35!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG[] As Ian says if there's too much air in there car will feel lighter, so potentially more twitchy, and before now I was sure I had a bearing going but it was just tyre noise. What sort of noise are you getting? Droning, clicking, rattle...?
  11. Right.. was wondering myself so rang Subaru dealer.. First off was told I should have 16" wheels on to match the space saver(????) but once I had explained the car was a 53 plate wrx with ORIGINAL 17" wheels on it, confirmed it was a UK car etc he came to the conclusion that Subaru Japan wouldn't put anything in the car that would be TOO detrimental and I should check my handbook!!!! Otherwise if I have to use it then do so, but keep it on the car for as shorter time as possible ie go straight to a tyre place lol, or just get myself off the motorway etc!!! Unfortunately your wheel tyre combo looks to have a slightly bigger diameter to standard, despite best efforts to keep it the same (sometimes it can't be helped) so in your case I would say your example is a bit extreme!! You may be fooked. Are the spacesavers in the wrx and sti the same size? Diameter of my wheels is roughly 620mm, whereas yours are 647mm, about an inch different in old money. Try speaking to a dealer or asking a pro as I don't now how much leeway you get. Afterall, Subaru website recommend 18's for my car with 225/40 profile tyres, again a different diameter...... [^o)][:^)][8-|] Wheels look great tho[H][Y] Lol at Baser[]
  12. 235/35/19..... 2x(235x0.35) + (19x25.4) 164.5 + 482.6 = 647.1 diameter Circumference = 647.1 x 3.142 = 2033.19 (I think!![:S])
  13. When you go up an alloy size, or two!!!, you put lower profile tyres on so the overall diameter, and therefore circumference stays the same. I have 45 profile tyres on 17's with a width of 215, I assume yours are 35? or less (total guess) To get the overall diameter: The profile figure is the tyre wall height as a percentage of the width, so in my case my tyre wall = 215 x (45/100), then for the diameter, double that (to get the tyre wall top and bottom) and add the wheel diameter, converted to mm, so 17x25.4 Giving a diameter of 2x(215 x 0.45) + (17 x 25.4), in mm. Carry out the calculation on your wheels, and again on the spare and see what you get. I haven't done it for mine but I can see that my spare is miles out!!! Be interested to see what you get
  14. Haing said that I compared my spacesaver with my standard wrx 17" wheels and there was about 1" difference in height, so circumference is pretty different. I was going to post up a different thread about this, but as this is here[]. I take it what you mean is you compensate the extra inches from the alloy with the lower profile tyre.
  15. Keypad should be fairly obvious iirc. Sits in the top right of the glovebox as you look at it?
  16. Could try a breakers mate, grade A subaru, HDC, or there's one in essex for example, or www.japperfomanceparts.co.uk might not be too far from you? Crawley?
  17. Agree, disgraceful!!! Just glad so much of it was tucked away for restoration, I'm not an expert but I can't believe that something as solid as that could go up so quickly without assistance. Let's hope they get it back to top condition ok, and that they catch anyone responsible, IF that's the case
  18. I also kept a spare set of batteries for the key fob in the car. The extra boost they provided managed to get the fob to override anything else[Y] Solution is to get the alarm shielded. Subaru admitted the problem and said they can get the parts for free but would have to charge £100 labour, or something like that!! What about trying Sigma Sam for any advice? Keypad is in glovebox
  19. Is it the box you had on the last one? I had a prodrive box on my classic and managed to do sometihng to the baffles in it. You get a kind of loud tearing sound when really pushing it, but otherwise it was normal.
  20. Very nice mate!![Y]
  21. Were you the guy that painted the range rover? If so you could try one of these[] http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/956148.aspx
  22. Nope, I was in a newage sitting at the lights to go towards the tunnel. Had tried to go over the bridge but they'd closed it for some reason(?????) not even letting anyone walk over it or anything, so I turned round and headed back the other way!!
  23. Monty passing the back of Argos tonight, had an s13 behind you.
  24. Jeez mate that's bad news!!! You are seriously unlucky!!
