  1. How old are your pads? May be a wear indicator that rubs on the disc when the pads get low making a high pitched squeal. Welcome to the club
  2. where is the wharf? and what is it? Wharf is a pub on the crossways business estate next to the dartford bridge Should be a map here, http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?pc=DA26QE
  3. Is your mate still interested in this one?
  4. Good mate thanks. Managed to get the dv on no probs, and now have decatted up pipe and prodrive downpipe[]. Hopefully picking up the car Saturday for the fastshow Sunday. Got a hawkeye as a courtesy car this week!!
  5. Third vote for RM tyres from me, 01634 716336 iirc[], they're near the Medway tunnel.
  6. Don't know what you're planning to do exhaust wise, or what the car has, but if you go decat, and backbox etc. might it not fit then? ie fitting more hayward and scott parts so it all mates up?
  7. It's also a "viewing by appointment only" dealer by the looks of it, so might be worth giving a bit of warning when you go up
  8. Thanks Ian, I knew the figure was close to 225 but couldn't remember if it was just over or just under. Obviously messing about with the cats/mapping would'nt affect the figure[A]
  9. Guru, kind of my thoughts, def a caveat emptor situation. Looking at the map I should be there or thereabouts on Sat so if he wants a drive up then let me know. I am very cautious on buing cars and will try to find fault with everything[8-|]
  10. I'm hoping to pick mine up in Taplow on Saturday, fingers crossed. What are his concerns? Looks a little too modified for my personal liking but I'll have a look for him if you want, I'm not an expert tho.
  11. Nice mate, like that[H]
  12. It was meeeeee!!!!! Went to Boxhill for the day - saw loads of Scoobies on the way down there. What are you driving? I was in the blue blobeye behind then in front of you, you flashed as you pulled in to turn off. This week I have a hawkeye as a courtesy car, not the turbo version tho', I was on my way to Taplow to drop mine off for a bit of fixing[:'(]
  13. Seen loads today, but with that plate had to be leebo77 this morning M25, you turned off at Chessington I think??
  14. If I wasn't so far from Andy F I'd have paid him a visit by now. PPP is good, especially at that price but consensus seems to be it's more for people wanting to keep their warranty intact. By going with an aftermarket map you should get a licensed version which means it can be remapped if you mod the car further (for a much lesser fee). The prodrive ecu's are locked iirc?
  15. Herman, I touch goats
  16. thought the fuel companies had announced the compensation details ? I thought Tesco's had released some details but wondered if Asda had come up with anything. I heard about Asda before it all got into the news and they seem to have managed to stay out of it lol!!!
  17. Someone else at work now. Another peugeot, this time a 106. Heavy rattle when you start to pull away, thought it might be the exhaust knocking on something, and today car is not well. Doesn't want to rev or anything but again no engine light. Diagnosed as o2 sensor, last filled up, asda greenhithe 17/02/07. On the plus side the door lock repair where some little**** broke into last week looks good, and the glass where they smashed the rear window the week before that only went into the boot, didn't cover the whole car. Hopefully that's all for now...... ROAR, any news on any compensation yet?
  18. I've got some of the japon stuff and it's pretty good. Lasts better than some of the other stuff I've had, but a wax should only act to protect the already shiny surface, so a lot of the work should be in getting the paintwork up to scratch (no pun intended[]) so best to get a good paint cleaner as well. Have e-mailed PB earlier today and am waiting to hear[]. Might try some of the Poorboys blue paste wax next. After the zymol...the old scoob[:'(] ....and the new one[]

  20. PMSL Quality!!
  21. Looks good mate, think I prefer the black on a silver car, not sure how the stainless look will look?
  22. Shiny black noisy ([]) classic A2 london bound 7.30 this morning through the specs bits[:@], then 2 p1's and a newage sti all parked up in Rochester this afternoon, esplanade area.
  23. DEFINITELY call the police mate, sounds like some kind of lunatic. They might be able to do something even with a partial plate, esecially if they've had any other complaints. Echo pete's comments above.
  24. Sounds like a good price. I had mine done today and got charged much more than that. Mind you I had the up pipe done as well and had all the gaskets and turbo studs replaced as well. I'm happy tho[][][]. Just had a quick blast down some country lanes, slowed down to a very repectable 30 to turn round in a little car park which is normally deserted.......must have been chucking out time at the country park, didn't get too many friendly or approving looks from the "locals", guess the car may be a bit louder now lol!!!
  25. Are you asking if you have a cat or not? I went to get mine changed (tho mine's not an sti, it's wrx ppp) and when they got it up on the ramps, although it looked like it had the cat it didn't, jst the heat shields. My advice is to pop along to an exhaust place and get them to check on the ramps, only takes a few secs.
