  1. Argee with you on that one Andy, the roads round this way are to rough for coilovers. My motor feels very skittery, mind you they are Jap coilovers.Been offered a set of new Koni Adjustables for £350 which im pretty tempted to buy.

  6. While the gearbox has been out and stripped up at Greers,Colin and Bill have told me that its has a 4:4 ratio gearbox. Can anyone tell me a bit more about its the pro's & cons of this ratio.i love the way the car goes through the gears and im just curious to find out a bit more.cheers Scotty.
  7. Drop the suspension mate and i think it'll look like a proper nice cruiser[Y]
  8. The company i work for has the police contract for recovering vehicles which have been involved in accidents and believe me when u have to work besides a motor that has been involved in a fatallity it really hits home just how easy it is to loose your life oir anothers by pushing it to hard. Even the cars brought in that have been involved in low speed crashes are in some mess, and im not talking about old escorts or nova's im talking mercs, bmw's and even a few scoobs. Food for thought.
  9. Looking nice mate[]
  10. clean enoughconsidering who dirty and s%*t the roads are around here.My motor is shocking for keeping it clean (when its actually driving and not parked up ill)
  11. Very well said Gumball, especially your points about ex-sevices men and women.I personally don't think there's much "Great" left in Britain, but what do you do??Each politically party seem as bad as each other.[]
  12. spotted you mate on your way home the night,i was sitting behind the 2 vans.the motors looking pretty clean!!
  13. Cheers, that's what i thought but after having a discussion the night the seed of doubt was planted, hence the question. Still means i gotta buy a newer car to get the plates i want[]
  14. Does anyone know if you can buy a private reg with the starting letter newer than the current reg on my car.surely this makes the car registered as being younger and that cant be legal or is it?[8-)].Any ideas? cheers Scotty
  15. If you buy the Snap-On set you get 6 extracter pieces increasing in size and 6 Left handed thread drill bits.Start with the smallest drill bit then work your way up until you've drilled out to the largest extracter size. This weakens the bolt/stud/nut and should eventually be able to remove it with the largest extracter..I use them all the time when working on seriously seized bolts on HGV's.The key is to make sure you start drilling out dead centre and take your time mate!hope that helps. P.s mind and put some copper slip on your new wheel nuts!!!!
  16. Thats the bit of kit of was talking about mate. That should sort the problem[]
  17. lovely.cracking colour.[]
  18. They had one in S&S in Ayr,they wanted £13,500! Lovely car but extremely over priced IMO.
  19. I think the tool BigBadBoab is talking about is an Easy-Out-Kit.They cost about £50 from Snap-on.Excellant bit of kit.
  20. I feel lost without my motor!!! having to put the 1.2, 4 speed corsa to full use.never mind by the time Colin and bill have worked their magic ill be chomping at the bit to give it a good run.[]
  21. Even Bill up at Greers was surprised that it was limited to £300.the whole thing has left me with a real sore head!!
  22. I don't have a limit on how many times i can claim so every little thing that can be claimed will be.it just makes me so mad how easily they can take a serious amount of cash off you then as soon as your out the door they don't give a damn.RIGHT BUNCH OF COWBOYS!!!!!!![:@]
