Thank you you for your recent enquiry.
I can assure you that Shell do not produce 100 octane fuel.
Many Thanks

Sorry people but thats official from the people at Shell .
Cant say Ive had any bother with them over the years i've used them.
The alloys I got were a cracking deal and Dougie has always been really helpful when trying to source parts for me.
But I suppose every company has horrer story's.
Hope you get it sorted mate!
Well what can I say ?!
When ever Im up in Ayr I always take a run down the shore.
I know its full of young lads and lassies in their Saxo's n Corsa's but I like seeing people that have a passion for motors.
And judging by the motors on display 2nite ( Scoob's, Skyline's, Pulsar's and Supra's) its not all young folk in their kitted out motors that enjoy a visit down the shore !
took a drive down the shore after being shopping at Tesco's the night and was surprised at how many Scoobs were there. At least 5 or 6. Anyone from here?
Stick with it mate.In less than a year Ive had the g/box , idle control valve, MAF, coil pack, & Lamba sensor all pack in.Its total brain damage but as Doorman says you've weathered the worst now so enjoy it after all the tears and frustration !
Not sure on that one but what you are saying does make sense.Too high a charge air tempt will kill the engine just a quick as running lean ( was told this just the other day).
It cost my warranty £280 quid for the MAf on my 97 STI, not cheap.
I did consider changing back to original airbox but that many people run the Apexi and Blitz induction kit that I felt it was safe enough to stick to the after-market induction kit.
When the car wasn't running right with no CEL light showing I took it to Geers and they found by doing a diagnostic check on the ECU there was in fact a MAF fault in the ECU, which for some reason wasn't putting the CEL light on !!
Personally I'd have the MAF checked and then take it from there.
As for the induction kit if you personally have any doubt then get a 2nd hand airbox (about £30 + p&p when I looked into changing) and get a after-market panel filter.
Im sure some one with more knowledge will be of more help.

St3ph3n - It is real hard mate, but thats the way I like my suspension.I wasn't too sure at first but finally got used to them. I did have 22B replica BBS lightweight alloys before but decided that I wanted something a bit different.
Cheers for all the help lads, just need to get it booked in now!!
Anyone got idea's / opinion's / experience of where to take the motor to get the handling set-up ?
The car came from the land of the Rising Sun with the Cusco's fitted and since owning it I've fitted 18" s and an ALK and still haven't got it set up properly, and it's totally killing the handling especially on the roads round here
I'm wanting to get the coilover settings softened (I assume you can do this with Cusco coilvers !? ) , and the Geometry done.
So any info would be appreciated.
Cheers
