  1. Not Scoobs but what the hey My daily driver...Mk3 GTi 16v AmD and my Mk1 track car......the 'Rollerskate'
  2. I'm still about but mainly in the trackday section as am a Trackmasters groupie....lucky Stormy I sold the Scoob many moons ago but have a Mk3 16v Golf for the days and a Mk1 track car for....well the track I'm always looking at Scoobs again as it ranked up in the top 4 cars I've owned, but with the climate as it is using one every day for me would be too expensive, and with a Mk1 that does leave a lot of 400bhp Evos and Scoobs behind it just wouldn't make sense to change. It's nice to see the 'old gaurd' still here, even if it is just from time to time.......but we will have the Mencap memories to cherish forever...the flames..oh the flames FANTA AND RED M&Ms RULE!!!!!!!!!
  3. Nice one Dan....need the engine bay cleaning up?? Hope you are well chap
  4. I use an empty Lukazade bottle for a crank case breather/catch tank. had no probs with it for 3 years of track abuse
  5. Theale hey...what corner you touting from??
  6. OMG......better get the protective pants out as 'hands everywhere' is back You not at the Oracle anymore? Keep looking out for you but either you're hiding (very good idea lol) or on a break......everytime I go to see you lol. Welcome back 'Karen' x.
  7. Was great to see some folks I haven't seen for ages and meet some new ones I've a ton of footage but will take some time to edit it and get it online.....takes 1 1/2 hours to upload a 5 min clip so 3 hours worth of clips might take some time Here are a few allready doing the rounds..... The lambo and the Porka------> Poka and Lambo Monkeylovin' and Budgie...here are Toms passenger laps following that 44bhp Evo 9 ----> 1. First one ----> 2. Last one cheers simon.
  8. Sorry to hear about that Rosie, but keep up the good work as some of the best rewards come from the hardest tests.
  9. CD rack for the man on the move looks great chap, always loved the spoilers that overhang....pure sl*g
  10. One of the good things that Trackmasters offer is excellent track manners. If you overtake on corners or in the brakeing zone, get too close and hassel other users you are flagged off and asked to sort it out. Do it again and you're off for the day which is how it should be. All the Trackmasters days I've done have been great. There are allways people there who have done a few laps over the years and if an instructor isn't available (which doesn't happen if you book them for a slot as they are usually free at these days) they will be up for doing a session to point out the lines for you. Just get the car in good serviced condition and have fun, there is nothing like it Here's a bit from the last day at Goodwood. Trackmasters at Goodwood 23-11-07
  11. I prefer my passengers to wear full face helmets...it helps muffle their screams
  12. Open face jobbies are good for track days as they let you keep a little cooler and chat to the passenger I would tend to go for a lightweight one though as the inertia in a crash is what causes the damage to your neck...lighter lid less inertia Try the X-lite range from here----> Lids Some OMP open face ones here---> OMP Some more open face ones----> More this way (",)
  13. Well get your asre down to Goodwood tomorrow and give it a propper test!!!!!
  14. As a VW/Audi owner I can only say that the UK owners are not as 'special' as the Yanks! But in defence it was a 'ricer' that held the knowledge base on that project so it could only end in tears
  15. Sorry to say that he did make the right decision. The players foot was 1/2 inch on the line before he lifted it and grounded the ball...so in touch. Don't get me wrong I'm gutted but if it was reversed and SA where appealing for a try we'd all be happy at the decision.
  16. New turbo+fitting = £500+ Turbo timer+fitting = £150+ Running off boost for the last 2 miles of a journey and sitting for 1 min when arrived = free
  17. Imo the injectors are bigger to deal with the extra fuel at higher boost and with more air in the mix...so the old ones should be able to cope with off-boost driving without problem I could be wrong...it has been known lol.
  18. New RS6 Avant has 610 bhp factory standard......mmmmmmmmmm
  19. You can also have them put down as a prototype/testing part and therefore the amount put on the invoice can be a hell of a lot less. My diff was sent as a prototype for testing and at the time it was valued at $499 so the tax was on this. Now that the testing is done they sell them for $1299 so as you can imagine the tax is a lot more. You find a way to slightly get ahead in this country and make the £££ go a bit further and they reel you back in to pay for thier policies on benefits...f*cking sucks!!!
  20. x 1000000000000000000000000000000000 Hope you don't lose out on this...gutted for you!
