Thanks for the info Peter..[] Just had a wee look and it doesn't "appear" to be smoking from under the turbo..[:S] I'll need to look more into the rocker cover gasket and maybe even to see if the phud that fitted the turbo has maybe spilled oil on to the heat wrap and it's just taking AGES to burn off. It's just weird that it only occasionally smokes . So it's either the return pipe, the rocker cover gasket or oil on my wrapped up-pipe , i need to try and find out so i can EVENTUALLY get it mapped.

Did yours smoke constantly Peter ? Does the return pipe just fit into a hole or is it clamped in ? I'd take the turbo off to check but i wouldn't know what to do or where to start..[:$][] It's the only thing stopping me from getting it mapped Unfortunately I've already fitted the CAK so the car is stuck in my garage so i can't take it anywhere for them to check it

Someone else mentioned that Peter especially since the new turbo has just been fitted, so it makes sense ..but I've no idea where to start looking.. Obviously it's above the up-pipe somewhere as that's where it's leaking onto but there are pipes everywhere. I wouldn't know where to start. Anybody got some "Idiot proof " pics so i can try to locate this return pipe ? [:$] so i can try to have a look myself..

Hey folks, hope somebody can help. My car is doing ma nut in lately. I have recently fitted a new turbo and intercooler and was about to contact Andy to get it mapped but now have found an oil leak somewhere. At first i thought it was from the turbo , but i found oil (drivers side) on the bottm corner of the rocker cover (if that's what it's called) ? . It's dripping onto the up-pipe (wrapped) hence the oily smoke and found some on the subframe ( ?) . I tried to nip up the bolts to see if it would stop but haven't checked since due to the bl00dy rain. Is this any easy fix and more to the point , would it be ok to run it to get it mapped.? I've already fitted the aps cak so can't take it to a garage to get it checked or repaired until it's been mapped. What should i do...[:S] cheers.

I had a similar problem Iain, the wee pipe from the d/valve had snapped off .

tut tut Family Forum and all that..[][] Can't believe the state of your car buddy, glad your ok though. Hopefully they will see sense and drop the charges when they catch the wee ned and the truth prevails. Take care out there folks.

Going to pop into see Andy this week to try and arrange a session sometime soon. Had one booked before but i had to cancel due to an oil leak. I got someone locally to fit a new turbo and i/c but i seem to have an oil leak somewhere from one of the turbo pipes ( i think). I'm hoping my mate pops down this week to have a look for me, I'm a complete noob when it comes to engines Campie eh !! Made that walk every day many years ago too .. small world.. lol I'll keep an eye out for you.
